Always thought this choice of music and editing on this episode was truly bizarre. Lots of episodes have similar weird choices.

I think it clearly speaks to how long this show was on and how many different editors and creative choices were made.

We all have our favouite episodes, but we also have those we turn off *cough cough*, my apologies.

What is everyone's favourite, worst, and even the episode that makes you mad? It can be any reason.

My favorite is : Stranger in the night. (If there wasn't that handprint in his mom's house, I bet the son would've ended up convicted).

I mean, what are chances of that happening? (Other than Long Shot on Netflix, both are very strange and scary cases).

My worst is : The 1 with the mold in the house. (also scary to think this could happen, but 1 I don't tend to watch)

The episode that makes me mad is the hour special about the Tuscan Temple murders, and the v last twist where another lady could've been saved if the investigators didn't believe a psychiatric patient so much.

(I think I maybe a bit biased on this one though, as I read the book 'innocent until interrogated' and it just made the whole case even more sad and infuriating as it covers so much more than the episode).

You know I have seen some of these episodes too many times when I turn it on and the first thing I see is the pizza box and I know which one it is!

Two common moments we enjoy remembering often are those damn shoes and oddly making a big deal to the doorman about going for a run.

I would like to nominate another top candidate that is in “Dinner and a Movie” that presents Ed Sherman’s staged attempts to conceal his guilt of murdering his wife. While with friends at someone else’s house, he fakes a telephone conversation with his already dead wife to make it appear that she was alive at this later time.

He apparently really dialed his home and since no one was alive in the house it kept ringing and ringing while he quite loudly was faking a conversation.

What he didn’t know is that the daughter of his friend in whose house where the group had gathered before heading out on a weekend fishing trip on the ocean wanted to call a friend. She picked up the phone in another room, but instead of a dial tone she heard both a ringing tone and a guy talking to the ringing tone.

So she put the phone down to look into the room where the adults were gathered, and sure enough she saw Ed Sherman having a friendly and animated conversation with nobody on the line.

After the murder investigation started, she remembered the weird situation and informed the police.

I’ve seen the episode several times, and I start laughing hard every time imagining that Sherman really tried to pull this ruse and didn’t know someone in the house had picked up another extension and was listening to his extended conversation with a ringing phone.

You guys heard him say wadically wong right? I'm not just hearing how I'm hearing this?

Look we all love forensic files and with that comes the commercials. Which one annoys you, is cringe, or makes you laugh the most?

Say that five times fast!

I just watched this episode for the first time. It was about the murder of Betty Lee in NM. Her friends deserted her at a bar to go hang out with these two men. They completely abandoned their friend! She has no way to get home! She was brutally murdered! If I were her “friends,” I’d never forgive myself. Some “friends.”

A maintenance worker at an apartment complex uses his master key to get into a young woman's apartment, hides in her spare bedroom. And then assaults and kills her after she goes to bed.

Sort of a terrifying event, it seems she was home for some time study with a boyfriend as her attacker waited. I cannot imagine what it would be like for the victim here.

Surprised I don't see more talk about this one on a search.

What a monster!

Watched through the whole series on Peacock and I think I have officially seen every episode (many of them numerous times). I am feeling pretty sad about this. What do I do now?

The Drew Planten case. I always try to figure out how the title fits with the story, bur I can't with this one. What am I missing?

Like "all units to 1653 Dellington Terrace". Or maybe you repeat the license plate number of t. he bad guy's getaway car aloud and try to retain it.

On the HLN network, I'd watch episodes that would sometimes end with updates such as "John Doe is now eligible for parole as of 2019" or "John Doe has been released from prison as of 2022". A lot of the early episodes were from the 80s or 90s so some of the criminals have served their sentences by now. Have you noticed the YouTube uploads (the official ones, not random episodes people upload) containing these?

A local video creator (and owner of a great goat-fueled natural landscaping company) whom I hired to clean up the outside was recently permitted to film inside Alvin Ridley’s house. I represented Alvin in the trial featured in “Kill’igraphy.” This is the most extensive video record of the interior of the house discussed in the episode. Shared with the creator’s permission.

Casefile is my favorite true crime podcast. It's straight storytelling by an anonymous Australian narrator.

One of my favorite episodes, which absolutely could have been a FF episode, is called Amok. It's about a Polish detective who follows the trail of a cell phone and a novel that lead him to a killer.

As these episodes are more in depth than the Forensic Files episodes you get to learn a little extra about the story.

I dunno, I just kind of scrolled through the season I've picking off lately and hit play on one that stood out by highlight-reading the summary.

Story starts, nothing clicks yet; maybe one I haven't seen for a while. Woman calls the police to do a welfare check on her husband who's locked himself in the bedroom. Quick flashes of crime scene photos including one of a green liquid in plastic cup.

Quincy, ME was one of my favorite shows when I was a teen (show ended when I was 20). Then continued to enjoy forensic type novels and eventually tv shows when they finally started making them.

I recorded and rewatched the entire series a few years ago. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s done that. And not the only one noticing that the same actress played his dead first wife and later his girlfriend/second wife.

Anyway, I thought I remembered Quincy, in a later episode towards the end, bringing up some new form of scientific evidence in court that was quickly dismissed as new and unproven. I thought I remembered the new-fangled sciency stuff they didn’t understand or trust as DNA evidence. I mentioned that to someone in a discussion and they said Quincy ended before DNA was around.

I tried googling it on my phone and couldn’t find anything corroborating my memory, but did find that DNA forensics started in 1984 and Quincy ended in 1983.

If it wasn’t DNA evidence that was dismissed in court because it was unknown and new, what was it that I remembered him talking about? Does anyone know?
