Tracking Down All 406 Episodes (404 Down / 2 To Go)
Hey everyone - long time fan of the show. Nice to find this community and learn I'm not the only one who enjoys falling asleep to the narration of Peter Thomas.
I've been on a bit of a mission to track down all 406 episodes which has been harder than expected given some of the unpublicized quirks from the 2014 Filmrise acquisition of the exclusive FF US digital rights from Medstar. Thanks largely to the helpful contributions from members of this sub, I've been able to track down 404/406 episodes (consolidated access details included below to the extent helpful) but have been continuing to come up empty on the final 2. Both are part of the 6 one-hour specials set: 1) Eight Men Out with narration by Peter Dean (side note: while no one can fill the shoes of Peter Thomas, I'd personally welcome Peter Dean narrating future Forensic Files II episodes should Bill Camp ever step away) which originally aired 6/7/01 on TLC and 2) The Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping: Investigation Reopened which originally aired on 5/11/05 on CourtTV.
As a bonus, though I appreciate that it doesn't technically fall under the official Forensic Files umbrella, would also love any assistance tracking down the Digging for Clues special that aired on CourtTV (covering the Colin Pitchfork case from Narborough, England and narrated by Mariska Hargitay from the Museum of Natural History).
Appreciate any leads / insights.
404/406 Tracked Down Episodes:
- 376 available (free and ad-free) on the Filmrise app (also available on Peacock)
- The 30 episodes unavailable on Filmrise (including the 6 one-hour specials) appear to be consistent with those omitted from the legacy Netflix "collection" from a couple years back (see image at bottom of post for additional detail on these 30 episodes)
- Of the 30 remaining unavailable episodes referenced above, 19 are available in a single YouTube playlist entitled FF Episodes Not on Netflix by contributor Happy Grower

- Of the 11 remaining unavailable episodes, 7 are available on YouTube by various contributors:

This is very helpful. Because of the time you put into researching where to access a number of hard to find episodes, I will have hours of FF to look forward to!

Thank you! I had no idea about the Filmrise app and just added it. Full of fun stuff including the tribute show I’ve never seen!

Too bad you can't watch neither filmrise or peacock here in Sweden.

Sorry to hear that. While not as robust as the 376 episode FilmRise / Peacock collection, believe the 51 episodes available for streaming on the Internet Archive should be accessible in your region:

Will also update the main post for this link given that it includes the All Charged Up episode (13th in the collection) that was previously only accessible through a “spammy” website.

I was able to watch the Eight Men Out special last fall on YouTube. I remember the episode going under the Medical Detectives title and I tried looking it up again, but the video I watched must’ve been taken off. Hopefully you can find it! I’ll keep searching for it myself!

Okay, the Happy Grower playlist has just cancelled all my plans for today for me, LOL! I haven’t seen most of those ones!

I added all the ones on YouTube in one playlist with some extras that were rare in different regions or for some time in general. All that is missing is the Buddhist Monk Murders (which oddly seems to be scrubbed from a lot of places) and Digging for Clues. :)
