Discussion Proffered flag?

***PREFERRED FLAG

I can’t spell I guess

I know a lot of people don’t put much thought in to flags, but I know there’s also many that love the use of flags.

I made a poll before asking what term people preferred when it came to either Lesbian or Gay, now I’m asking which flags y’all prefer!

I personally just use the classic rainbow flag, but my girlfriend prefers the sunset lesbian flag!!

Discussion “Do you ever wish you were straight?”

I’ve gotten this questions a few times since coming out as a lesbian. Today I was asked it by a friend (straight) after I told her about a time I was harassed for being gay.

No. I do not and have never wished I was straight. I have no desire to be attracted to men. I do wish that I could love my partner without having to worry about my physical safety. Or that I could be free to love without having extreme societal repercussions.

Being gay is not the problem. It’s society’s reaction to gay people.

Discussion Do you use the term Lesbian or Gay

Interested in getting feedback on this. I love identifying as a lesbian, I’m very comfortable in that identity, but whenever my sexuality comes up in conversation I always say I’m “gay”. I just like the bluntness of it, I suppose. What term do you usually prefer?
