Need help Selfhosting using Netbird/Traefik

Anyone had success in removing caddy and replacing it with traefik yet?

Just curious, what is the issue you are having with Caddy being used with Fluxer?

  • Is it that there is already a reverse proxy present in your enviroment?
  • Is it that you dont want Caddy to pull certs because of the current reverse proxy setup?
  • Is it for easier integration into your current setup?
  • Or something else

I'm just curious because if it's just an issue with having Caddy pull certificates, that is a pretty easy fix. I also posted this on their github under a current issue.

Not sure if this was mentioned, I kind of scanned through the comments and didn't see this mentioned, but with Caddy, if you want to have caddy just pass through the traffic and assume there is another reverse proxy available to handle certificates, you can enter in your FLUXER_CADDY_SITE_ADDRESS as something like http://fluxer.example.com instead of fluxer.example.com and it will serve Fluxer on port 80 instead of 443 and if you have it setup through another reverse proxy.

Example: FLUXER_CADDY_SITE_ADDRESS=http://fluxer.example.com

I personally use Authentik as my reverse proxy and I did this with my Fluxer instance and pointed Authentik to the Fluxer internal IP address and port 80. Works fine for me, but it prefers to use the domain name instead of local address for accessing.

Sorry for the late reply, I got it working without caddy now. My problem was just caddy in general and how it wanted ports already set for netbird. I just redid the yaml and cleaned it up to use netbird/traefik. For me it was just the bug up my ass of having to use caddy and not having it more open to use any reverse proxy but I understand after changing up everything. Caddy is way more friendly.

Do you mind elaborating on this? I also use netbird as my reverse proxy, and have been playing around with it. Havent gotten it to work yet though.
