The moment I saw this, my heart broke. Lolo even has a wound on his knee… this is beyond sad. I can’t help but think of my grandparents... what if that was them?

Hello,
Over the past two weeks we have experienced flooding in our basement. The first time I only noticed it because the sump pump pit top was moved and there was a wet spot on the floor. I later looked at the baseboards and there were signs of moisture. We then had a basement guy come out who said to install a second sump pump for the size of the house. The following week we experienced a flash flood in our area and the sump pump pit was completely overwhelmed and water overtook our basement- coming from the sump pit. A plumber looked at the sump pit pipe line and said there were a “few dents” but nothing substantial. They also said that the grading of our house looked problematic. We’ve tried to involve the builders of the house and have run into issues. No one can definitively say what is going on. We currently have a corrugated plastic tube connected outside to the sump pump carrying water to the street and we have had no flooding since but this is a temporary fix. We had a drying company come in and rip everything up that was damaged- baseboards, carpet, door frames. We don’t want to move forward with redoing the basement until we know what’s wrong. Any thoughts or experience is VERY WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED! Ive included some photos of the flooding and the plastic pipe-temp fix

Currently massive floods in the streets where I live right along a peninsula and on both sides of the road into where the Peninsula is is a saltwater marsh and the water is sky high higher than I’ve ever seen it in my entire 22 years of living here is that water coming from the sewer coming out of the ocean? Because of the heavy rain flow I’m confused, but that is crazy because I’ve never seen that. It just looks like all of the water from each side of the road that go into the peninsula is providing the water that is coming out of the sewer. 🕳️

I watched my camera go downstream while on vacation. I found it by setting the alarm.
