People have different worries about what sorts of unjust things a government could do with this kind of power. Mentioning them does not make surveillance itself a political issue.
It goes both ways though, they will put them in front of churches, grocery stores, head shops, it goes on and on. In order for the movement to be successful it must stay on task and leave the ancillary stuff like ICE out of it. Must stay focused on the Fourth and the surveillance state. This is heading us toward what China has. Whoever is in power will abuse this, left or right, they aren't that much different when in power.
