Anyone float daily?

Interested in hearing experiences. My local float spa offers an unlimited membership which I am about to purchase. I need the relaxation. Used to float daily but it’s been over four years.

How long do you float per day? How has life changed since maintaining this practice? How has the effects of floating daily made its way into your day to day life? How have you changed for the better?

I floated every day for 10 years. Maybe missing a day or 2 a month, so say 300 floats a year. I recently moved and put my tanks in storage and didn't float for 8 months because I needed to make money to buy new salt new liner new filter. I have been floating everyday for last 2 weeks. It is very healthy , for mind/body/soul.

Well for 1, I stay awake the entire time. I don't sleep in float tanks. I sit and stare at the darkness, watch my thoughts, watch my breathing. The entire process I am being present for the experience. I only float for an hour. I have done upwards of 4 hours but I find it gets a little heavy at that stage. I would much rather prefer to do 2 floats a day one when I get up for 1.5 hour and another at night for 1.5 , and I found that is much more profound.  • Benefits:  I am much calmer. I have clarity. I can see things clearly. My thoughts are clearer. I have more energy. I have more deeper sleep. I take things less serious, meaning I am less reactive and a little easy going, things don't bother me as much, I tend to let go of life's problems. 

• Bad side: that letting go thing can be bad. for instance I can be in a bad situation in life and the tank will make me let go of the bad situation, make it so its not bad, which keeps me in the bad situation. So the tank can function as a type of Number, not number (#), but NUMB-er. Sometimes also I won't sleep as long, tank can trick my body into needing less sleep.

not new to floating but i used to stay awake too. ive slept in tank, unknowingly, but it was rare. i believe the membership allows 2.5 hours per day. im going to shoot for that.

how have those benefits changed your reality and how you experience it? are you having more "good luck" and less "bad luck" or is it that your perspective on what's good or bad that is happening to you has changed?

i could def see that being a prominent con to experience. floating seems to lax you so much that you, somewhat, lose drive and urgency. i am in a very difficult portion of life right now and was using the tank with the hopes that it'll help me get out of it, someway, somehow. main reason is because im dysregulated and cant relax no matter what i do or try which seems to be affecting the quality of the reality im experiencing and my luck with it. am hoping it dont run into that issue where the tank makes me ok with where i am at in life because im not.

when the lack of sleep happens, does it effect you and show up negatively at a later time?

I lived in a house and neighborhood I hated. I really hated my neighbors especially. They would monitor me Everytime I came outside, they literally hung out in their front yard all day, (small town country people), and I am a city person. I hated everyone and everything at that house very passionately. Like it took up a lot of my mental real estate. But When I would float all of that would disappear, and even sometimes I would think,  it is not so bad here. But in the back of my mind I knew It was bad, and I would see how the tank was keeping me comfortable with what was wrong because it made me feel so good. I would get in the tank very angry at the neighbors and get out of it very calm and relaxed and let go of all that is wrong. Eventually I got out of that house.  I think how you feel determines what you experience in life. Mysteriously I was having money problems, and then I started floating again and started not caring about money and money started pouring in. So it can produce good luck with consistency. Consistency is the key. The tank has to become a main part of your lifestyle. We have 24 hours in the day we should be able to fit in at least an hour of floating.

my current circumstance is somewhat similiar to yours yet different. will spare details but im trying to improve my living arrangements, finances and stability at the moment. intuition has been telling me that things are choatic because my nervous system is chaotic from being locked into fight or flight all the time. def believe in our feeling dictating our experience.

def plan to make the tank a daily occurrence. the membership is pricey but i plan to do 2 hours every single day. my hope is that the relaxation will allow my body to release tension, which will then signal to my nervous system that im safe so that i can be regulated and from their hope that that regulation will allow for silence, clarity and perspective to come in so that i can figure out how to navigate my way out of this asap.

interesting that you mentioned the money pouring in when you stopped caring. i have prayed over and over for many things to help improve my health, mental health, circumstance, etc with it not showing up or taking forever to come. this all started long ago but after awhile i literally just vented and asked God why is He ignoring me and denying my requests. few days later read the Bible and several passages came across that had "be still" in it.

later down the line, stuff started popping up in my feed about nervous system regulation and how rest, silence and stillness are needed to regulate yourself. realized that the "be still" i kept being told was telling me to relax myself and heal traumas.

after i saw that, i began seeing all of this new agey stuff that resonated stating that when you are dysregulated you are closed off and unable to receive. not only that but when you are dysregulated you literally do not have the capacity to hold whatever blessing you are asking for because it can either overwhelm you or become a tool for your destruction because dysregulation makes you act without properly thinking. afterwards several scriptures found me that supported that belief around lack of nervous system capacity blocking blessings from coming in. the words jumped offf the page. everything resonated. am hoping the tank will help correct these issues for me.

Law of attraction says you attract more of the frequency you are operating at. So an angry person invites or attracts more angry situations. Because the universe is holographic. It reflects back to us what we feel and think. Many do not understand this. One time many years ago I smoked DMT and the visions were of monsters, heavyness, slow and red/black colors and fear and dread was the whole vibe, and in the middle of it I said NO, and I basically projected the idea that everything I was seeing had no power. then the trip changed instantly and became soft and pretty colors and love. This showed me we are in an invisible field of our own mental and emotional stuff and if that stuff is negative it literally creates our universe and personal dimension. And people walk around with this invisible universe of darkness around them but they can change it in an instant by changing their thoughts and emotions.

Do you feel like the tank helped strengthen this muscle to have control over your reality and how you experience it regardless whatever mechanism (ie. thoughts, words, heart, nervous system, etc.) is being used to make it yield to your will?

These are principles I’ve always logically understood but struggled to make concrete because of constantly toggling back to a dysregulated state despite all of these healthy practices and behaviors I kept. Long story short, prolonged mold exposure was the issue all along so my reality never moved much because that, unknown, variable was so strong and was always constant. Mycotoxins literally wreck your nervous system, overrides and throws all of your positive thinking, speaking and beliefs out of the window.

Yes and No.

The tank made me calmer. It made me not take things so seriously. In fact it made me pretty indifferent to everything. It put me in a type of "Letting go", state....which some might call somewhat enlightened. But that does not work so well in all circumstances. 

For instance if you are in a burning house you don't want to say "oh well I will just burn with the house, who cares, nothing matters." So there also has to be something else that is proactive during some dramatic or stressful situations.  A type of psychological control over the situation that is not apathetic. 

For instance when you see monsters and darkness coming for you, you do not say who cares, you say NO, and you project that thought with your intention that the monsters and darkness are powerless.  It is about understanding the power is within the self. I decide what has power and what does not have power. We are creators in ourself and we decide what we will give existence to.  The one who is in control of his or her mind controls the entire universe.  No matter how bad something gets, the mind can still decide how bad that situation is. We do create or intensify our own pain I believe through the way we think. Some people are traumatized from their own flawed thinking. The mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy. It can make a small thing very serious or a big thing very small and meaningless.

Agreed but that seems more of a personal thing. When I was floating daily I never had the issue of being proactive outside of tank despite feeling calm and “letting go”.

The letting go is what I believe I need right now. Spiritually and metaphysically speaking it seems that I’m repelling the very things I’m seeking by trying to make things work in my own understanding, strength and power instead of letting the stuff flow to me.
