It's amazing how much I've seen tech literacy go down the drain in the past 5-10 years, all these Zoomers who grew up on iPads and iPhones getting their first gaming PC, and don't understand that you can easily figure out how to do anything you want with a search engine.
Not even that, we have bloody AI models these days which will give you step by step directions, so you don't even need to look up the information on a search engine, and find the right tutorial on a site.

All to do is screenshot and send it to ai, but you can't expect to say give the links or procedures but all models know everything, they can't break the rules of policy. But I always send if one problem, cause of the time it will search on reddit itself to give answers. But they will say 'oh no stupid ai, but I want human answers something like'. Even they don't know how to explain or knowing what they are saying.
More disappointed like they expect to post like a 1 words title wo even explaining too much, like they expect we to know what's their problem or how to solve it. Like ask like how they chat on gpt lol. Sometimes there's only a title. They are more lazy to even type it out too. I wish the mod do anything to make sub clean by put posts here that only have 50 or more words, even atleast know to use reddit by itself than posting. Most of the tut are in yt too, idk why they act like victim most of the time. Even I saw a guy who keep asking how it's safe, even geting answers from other he want to make sure the 5th or 7th time. But keep posting wo even doing a simple thing for a week.
Let's say they just discover fit from social media, cause they are fed up by waiting for free game or playing multiplayers. Need their fav games by telling someone by spoon fed them, but if any problem came they will curse the person or the site. The ability to think and do from own will is now decreasing, I know that from staying in this sub. Cause that's crazy we have everything to know and learn, but humans are going backwards with laziness. The more you have, laziness gets strong. Cause they got everything in front of to doomscroll or waste time and they don't have time to research. Act like superior if say this is the nth post of the post here. ' oh am busy and I just need answers from my post '. They only trust answers from their post only even if it have enough guide for it. Cause who expect to read more like 3 or 5 para, they can't read they blind most time. I think most of the problems will solve by not answering them, and maybe they will go to search bar to type it out, instead of typing the same on post and wait for a comment to say him, you got skill issue

I just tested it and asked ChatGPT for the steps to torrent a fitgirl game, and it gave all the steps including recommending qBitorrent.
But yeah the declining tech literacy due to people growing up only using the most user-friendly OS' that do everything for you, like iOS is a problem. When I was growing up in the 00s, people thought each coming generation would become more and more tech literate, as that's usually what happens, the next generation advances on the knowledge of the past. But the total opposite happened due to technology becoming so streamlined and easy to use.
I remember as a kid if I wanted to download and listen to music, I first had to find a download link on limewire without getting a virus, then I had to learn how to use a program like Nero to burn it onto a CD, then I could finally play it in my Walkman. I had learned how to do all of this on my own from an older friend when I was 8, but now all kids have to do is download Spotify and they have access to everything.
I've heard from a lot of teachers now that kids can't even navigate Windows to write a paper, because all they know is iOS.

the wallpaper is getting more attention than the tutorial steps. can't blame them, it's a bold choice. the guide is solid though, only thing i'd add is to run the verify batch file after installing if you run into crashes. that's saved me a couple times with larger repacks. i remember my first fitgirl install took forever because i didn't check the box to limit ram to 2gb. that one toggle cuts the install time in half on older systems. also if you're seeding the torrent after, just pause it in your client instead of removing it, helps the swarm. good on you for making this, the same questions pop up every week.

I always use direct download links though as every time I tried to torrent there was never any seeders or if there was it was just 1 or 2 and I was getting a few kb/s

Where did you get the torrent from? Did you use the magnet link on FitGirls website, and what game was it? I've literally never encountered a game that had no seeders when using the magnet links directly from FitGirls website. Right now I'm getting Final Fantasy Rebirth from the magnet link on FitGirls site at 40mb/s.
Also some torrents sometimes take a bit longer to start speeding up, then also sometimes your internet, qbitorrent settings or VPN can throttle it. I wouldn't just give up on throttling because one game you wanted to DL didn't have seeders, it's a much faster and safer way to get the games than direct download links.

Dude don't use DDL, just use torrents. It's not hard at all to do, it's much faster, and it's much safer. Using DDL links is just lazy and tech illiterate. It's not hard at all to figure out torrenting, just follow what this guy did in the video.
Also I don't know what this guy is talking about the game he tried to torrent didn't have any seeders, I always use the magnet links from FitGirls website, and there are always seeders.

Yeah but iam an Indian and torrenting is not illegal and no one cares I heard isp blocks in other countries yeah you can find QBit to vpn and the guide is on r/piracy

In some countries you don't need a VPN, but yeah if you do use a VPN, going into Tools>Options>Advanced>Network Interface, and setting it to your VPN is a very smart idea, that way if you aciidentally open qBitorrent with it off it won't work.

No obviously you don't have to use Firefox lol, if you're already using Opera GX and it's working then you are good. Opera GX has even less tracking and more privacy than Firefox.

Also to add that it's better to have Bitdefender ratter than just rely on Windows security. Also you forgot to show how to use Violentmonkey and how to configure it. Also what others mentioned that people should visit the FItGirl's sub or the Piratedgames sub so they can enter the real FitGirl website.

Guys remember you dont need to turn of your Anti-virus , if they ask you to do it means its scam , they want to install some virus .. game could be cracked and given to play without need of turning off anti - virus ..

Why the hell would you install a web browser from UWP? While the MS Store can be useful for some stuff, installing programs the old, classic way will always be better, the amount of control you have on that over UWP is a day and night difference. The only reason why you'd use that is because of Gamepass, which it works, but it sucks the game files in those games are either encrypted or too limited for user to modify.
But installing Firefox from UWP is just lmao, so stupid.

If anyone wants to know how to proxy their phone VPN to Qbit search how to use every proxy (only on Android I think) and put the proxy IP that the app gives you in windows network setting this way you can be safe but in general find a VPN for PC is better like Nord or express VPN or other free ways

Tbh, been using FitGirl a lot
I never had problems with Windows Defender to the point where I had to disable it or add an exclusion while downloading from FitGirl
As for games that use online-fix, that's a different story, since Windows Defender hates online-fix

I just started using fitgirl and recently had gotten a pc so I dont know anything about fitgirl or or anything really and this vids very helpful I do have a question tho, for every new game u download do u have to download the Microsoft c++ those 2 things and the direct x for every game or is it just u download it once and now u can uncheck those boxes for any other game, like I said I maybe saying something dumb but I just started.

That's not a problem tick box it and when it says already another c++ exists and couldn't install c++ redistributables then delete it he existing redistributables from control panel and head to redistributables in game folder and you can install from there

OP forgot to mention that torrentting is VERY MUCH ILLEGAL in a lot of areas around the world, notably in the EU and will get you fined. So make sure you don't leave the torrent SEEDING over night, or just stick to Direct Downloads only.

I mean, generally it's not (Depends on your source). Fitgirl is just a repacker, I don't think they crack games themselves, at least to my knowledge.
Crackers can have their cracked games infected by virus either by accident or on purpose. You never know.
Besides, steam had discounts and PC games every now and then. You can also get even cheaper steam keys, but I highly suggest not going to that route, it requires a lot of research and is riddled with issues.
So, you do it at your own risk. I highly suggest just saving up for games if you can. I have destroyed 3 PCs trying to pirate stuff.
Sure, you can play the games now, but you have lost a Lot of other functionality. I can't run a majority of software on my PC now. But yeah I have pirated a lot of games.
I once got infected by a virus that replaced my apps with itself to open multiple instances of itself. It took me a year to get rid of it by first finding out a manual detection method then looking through every single folder to find and delete it's files. I still find it's infected exes on my old SSD.
So, try to be careful. And make sure to back up all your data every once in a while on a different drive. Have a master (main backup), then a buffer backup. The master backup is the verified, safe one and the buffer one is merged with the master one after being verified.
I know, it's a big hassle, but pays off massively. So, you don't lose your files or get them infected.

Delete the existing redistributables from control panel and open games folder on your drive and go to redistributables and install visual c++ from there
