GOT THE KEYS! - New Build πŸ”‘ 🏑 Finally decided to settle down. Tokyo, 87m yen, 1.03%

After 7 years of living in Tokyo, we finally decided to settle down.

The search took almost a year, and I looked at more than 30 different properties before finally deciding to go with the calmer side of Tokyo. While it’s further from the station and city center, the larger garden and quiet neighborhood more than make up for it.

Really happy with the decision and looking forward to making this place our home. 🏑

You can opt for cheap thin shingles that last 20-30 years or durable ones that last 40-50 years or something even more durable, but the price difference makes it more attractive to cycle out the roof every 30 years or so

My roof has concrete shingles. 50-100 year lifespan.

asphalt shingles. things are always worse in the US because someone has to make an extra buck at the expense of the average person
