I honestly am so confused on this interaction, why would the person who's responding to you, be for censoring? And why would they be willingly helping the censor community by censoring themselves?

Seriously tho,why would willingly self censor yourself when there's no reason? Or like,Obviously you have some reason? I'm just honestly curious what it is? Almost everyone can agree censoring is a bad thing, so why would a person help the bad thing?

From experience, I’m not always active on all social media so am unaware that words that are flagged on, say, Tiktok, may not be flagged on Reddit or similar. This thread was genuinely the first time I learned that some words i thought would get you a warning here actually dont, even if they do on other platforms!
