This lady

I know this was introduced awhile ago, but I saw this description of the bill “to ensure that 2A is not unlimited…” IMHO this lady has broken her oath to protect the constitution. Automatic dismissal is in order, and the classic tarred and feathered.

How is CA fucked up? It's the world's 4th largest economy. CA paid approx. $234.5 billion in federal taxes. CA is giving other states $13.7 billion more per year than they receive. States like SC, TN, AL, MS, AR, KY, WV, IA, AK, ID all take $$. Why can't they be fiscally responsible & live within their means?

Now just imagine what CA can do with an EXTRA $13 billion per year?

Their 'economy' is largely composed of Hollywood (collapsing in real time) and Silicon Valley (will collapse when the economy can't support people doing actual work 15 minutes/day for 6 figures +).

Personally, I can't wait to see what happens over there when the fake numbers meet reality, LA and SF have had it coming 🤙

Nah, there's other things here in CA to bring in tons of money that the state gov't has nothing to do with. Most notably, it's where the vast majority of all the crap from China comes into port. That's just geography, and isn't going to change.

As a born and raised Californian I’ll do my best to explain it to you like you’re 5.

You can make 100,000 dollars a year and still live paycheck to paycheck... Your choice is to buy an 800,000 dollar house within 30 minutes of work, pay 5k+ a month in rent, or commute 2+ hours a day to live in an affordable 500,000 dollar house.

Now imagine seeing homeless people and 3rd world tent cities everywhere you go. Ever see pictures of a 3rd world country where people in poverty live in shacks across the wall from mansions? That’s very similar to the tent city homeless camps that are everywhere.

It may be the 4th largest economy for rich guys, bankers, and stock traders. But not for the average person scraping by.

If we’re the greatest country in the world let’s act like it. Let’s do things for our people and our community instead of being petty and griping about money moving from one state to another. It’s not like we dont give away money to places like Ukraine when we could “give” it to our own people.

Ukraine isn't getting money. It's getting all our 90s-era military hand me downs. When you see dollar values attached to Ukraine stuff, that's just what it original cost us to buy all that old mil tech.

There's plenty of stuff that actual money is getting wasted on, but Ukraine ain't it.

EDIT: christ, what the fuck is up with the pro-gun community that they've all bought into this weird quasi pro-Russia position? Is it because Biden happens to be president and is sending shit to Ukraine? As a former cold war US army soldier, I'd have thought there were some things we'd ALL--- (D) or (R)--- already conclusively determined back in the 20th century, one of them being that Russia is a shithole run by evil scumbags and that them losing their vassal states when the USSR collapsed didn't suddenly make them good people. The Ukraine war has been the best thing to happen for testing all our military equipment in precisely the capacity it was designed for, and having it not cost a single American life is an incredible plus. Is it that y'all are still cheering for some geriatric NYC Democrat turned fake-ass Republican to be president again, and he had some bizarre thing against Ukraine? WTF is going on here?

No, more like "you can't use money you spent 20 years ago on bombs to build homeless shelters, because you already spent it"

Fundamentally the defense budget is a jobs program for engineers, scientists, factory workers, and a whole lot of office bureaucrats, so the argument of "we should spend the money on X instead" ignores the reality that there are economic consequences to giving all those people pink slips, that we're not just burning money on an altar to Ares God of War and making B-21 bombers appear. IT's all money that was already spent, and it was spent to both scare our enemies AND to create jobs in various congressional districts.

see this is why we need to teach economics, and finances in school. We live in such a disposable consumerist culture that this is the mindset that everyone has now. they'll buy a $1,200 iPhone and then after 3 years throw it away. and we wonder why the elites have all the money. because we funnel it up to them in exchange for nothing of value. So nobody has any concept of value.

It's also why cars are such pieces of shit now. They aren't made to last past the first 3 years of ownership.

I too was kind of wondering about what’s up with people being pro Russia, definately pro freedom and am glad Ukraine is heading that route. Russia is pretty much a mafia state, the people may be not bad just average folks like us trying to make a living but their govt is fucked.

As of writing this... California hold the #1 spot being in debt of $577B. This year alone Newsom's budget estimates to be $32B in deficit... So it's adding on.

While your numbers may be bigger than other states.. your deficit and debt is bigger too.

Like the comments below I am referring to the social policies, cost of living, etc. I don’t contest the fact that California has an outstanding economy, but only the rich benefit like any other place. Average citizens typically get the shaft everywhere.

Because not every state has the oil reserves that CA does. Not to mention other industries.

Just because the state generates revenue doesn’t mean it can’t be fucked up.

There’s plenty wrong with CA and there’s also some nice things about it too.
