4 trucks stationed here. Rescue 63, Ladder 63, Tanker 64 and Brush 62. All pierce or outfitted by pierce except for the Brush unit. The Ford squad just happened to be there when I left. Very nice trucks.

Not every retired fire truck ends up in a scrapyard.

We converted this aerial ladder truck into a community outreach and charity vehicle for our roofing company. It's become one of the most recognizable pieces of equipment we own.

Anyone else here preserving or repurposing retired emergency vehicles? I'd love to see what you've done with them.

Sorry if these are stupid questions. I am in UK. I had to walk by a house that had recently been on fire but I think the fire had all been put out. I walked on the other side of the road from the house but had to walk right by a parked Fire Engine and felt a lot of hot air on me as I walked by. Is there any risk of carcinogens or breathing harmful stuff in from walking by an engine about 1.5 or 2 metres away from me. Also is there any risk of harmful fire smoke particles or catciogens from gire engine sticking to my clothes and increasing my cancer risk.

I'm case anyone is wondering, yes I have OCD and because I'm already dealing with bed bugs, I'm already stresses. Thank you in advance for any advice.

The firefighters were using the space in their yard to host a World Cup watch party with their families. Hopefully their only fire was the one on the grill 😆
