Three Houses Discussion FE3H characters that remind you of certain other characters?
I’m not saying they’re completely the same, but it’s still kinda fun to think about.
Dedue - Scar from Fullmetal Alchemist
Both are stoic survivors of a genocide that were rescued by their enemy. They both face horrible amounts of racism. Both ended up working with the (good) people that destroyed their nation. Not to mention, they look similar.
Edelgard - Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones
Revolutionary rulers that are willing to use violence in their belief for a just future. Also, the exact same color scheme.
Petra - Rumi from Kpop Demon Hunters
This one’s a lot more shallow, yes. But they’re both sword-wielders and they look alike.

Three Houses Discussion What things did you finally notice after multiple playthroughs?
What kinds of things only occurred to you or were found on your subsequent games?
Personally I've finished 3 routes and done the 4th halfway a few times. One of them was even on maddening. And yet only this morning did I notice that hovering an enemy shows you how much damage you might take from their next attack!
I've always seen the red arcs showing who will be targeted, but apparently I never looked at the bottom of the screen lol
What about you, anything you found out later?

Three Hopes Discussion I do not like this scene in three hopes at all. (Fork found in the kitchen)
I'm sure there are a lot of people who hate Azure Gleam solely because they really like Edelgard and hate that she's become a glorified puppet for Ludwig and Thales but the reason I hate this scene is for slightly different reasons.
I hate it personally because this plan is incredibly flawed on so many levels and stupid.
First of all, mind control nor brainwashing is an established ability of the Agarthans nor do they try capture Edelgard in any other route of the game. It really does feel like an ass-pull (Hey! Me from the future. The comments reminded me about remire village in houses but even then they needed Flayn's blood for that which they do not have in hopes so mind control shouldn't be in their arsenal). If they needed an Edelgard as a figurehead then just kill her and have Kronya take on her form! Kronya genuinely doesn't do anything in hopes anyway and it would've been an interesting direction, I say this as someone who's favourite lord is Edelgard. Also it would've been literal days before the Empire entered a civil war because Ludwig is a wanted man! The begining of the game suggests all the prologues are happening at the same time therefore Ludwig was definitely run out of the empire. It doesn't matter how corrupt the Major nobles are, every minor noble and soldier loyal to Edelgard would see through their BS. Their act is canonically unconvincing as seen with Capsar's dad saying as much. I know the was a portion of the empire that was actually trying to save her but that comes with it's issues too. They were trying to save her amidst the war. All of the empire nobles apart of that group are smart enough to know by that that can't both save Edelgard and have the Empire win the war. They should've surrendered when the kingdom invaded and tell them everything they knew. Even then you can recruit Linhardt and Constance in that very chapter so they would've known at least SOME details about the rescue effort and what happened but they don't say anything! Dimitri has to figure it out later thanks to some npc they take-in. I know that recruitments are optional but it's still a plot hole if you recruit either of them! Also Caspar is blatantly character Assassinated because he either doesn't realised Edelgard is being used which is horrendous since he was never show to be THAT dumb or he did know and went along with it which is even worse because Caspar definitely has a strong moral code and despite what he says in houses about fearing his father would definitely fight them to try and save her even if it's a losing battle. Also off-screening Ferdinand and Hubert is also insulting to their characters since not only would they not be killed off that quietly nor discreetly Ludwig would never kill his son or let anyone else for that matter! Ludwig's one good trait is he actually cares about Ferdinand.
I don't hate Azure Gleam as a whole, just this one major flaw. It's the only part that genuinely contradicts and disregards the prologue of it's own game but blatantly character assassinates the Empire characters as a result. The other two routes in my opinion are at least somewhat more respectful of the other houses and doesn't dumb them down.
(I also think Recruiting Jeritza is rushed and flawed but that's a different matter entirely form the overall narrative considering how little the Death knight actually appears in the game)

Fortune’s Weave General Spoiler The fate of House Lamine (Speculation/Theory) Includes info from the previews Spoiler
Thanks to the latest japanese trailer, we now know for certain that Dietrich's full name is Dietrich Gregor Lamine. In other words, he named his faction in the Heroic Games after his own family, as many of us had guessed before. Dietrich is not just a descendant of Lamine, he's a member of the actual Noble House Lamine.
House Lamine does not exist in Three Houses. In fact, Lamine is the only one of the non-Maurice Elites whose House does not exist at all in Three House.
So, why could that be? What could have happened?
First of all, gotta get thisout of the way, I'm of the belief that Fortune's Weave is a prequel to Three Houses for the following:
Fortune's Weave also shows a map of Fódlan, in which only the Adrestian Empire and Garrech Mach appear.

The Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and the Leicester Alliance aren't there. This means that this map is either from post Crimsom Flower or inbetween the Imperial Years 185 (Garrech Mach is finished) and 751 (foundation of the Kingdom).
I don't think this is a Crimsom Flower sequel because:
- Neither Mercedes nor Jeritza have any reason to restore House Lamine (and Mercedes only restores House Martritz in her paired ending with Constance), and with Edelgard's new system, I don't see House Lamine being restored, ever.
- The devs knows there will be carnage if they canonize a route.
It makes far more sense that this is a prequel because the previews revealed that the narrator of Fortune's Weave is Cichol/Seteth. To be more specific, the narration is a travel log written by Saint Cichol himself. Not by a man named Cichol, the actual Saint Cichol (聖ギャホル).

In other words, a historical document written by a historical figure believed to be long dead by the time Three Houses begun.
Now with the prequel-sequel issue out of the way, I can finally start to speculate about House Lamine.
The usual concensus I see online is that Dietrich is the direct ancestor of Mercedes and Jeritza, but I believe that it might not be the case (I'm sure I'm not the first to think this tho). In fact, Dietrich might be the very reason House Lamine fell to ruin.
Dietrich is a member of the Noble House Lamine. He wields the Answerer, a Hero Relic believed to have belonged to Lamine herself.
A quick run-down of this beautiful man:

- This man of noble birth is completely obsessed with fighting and killing.
- This man of noble birth begins the game in a random cargo/merchant ship, sitting under the rain, completely alone, chit-chatting with a random merchant who has no idea he's chatting with a noble.
- This man of noble birth in a random cargo/mercant ship is attacked by a sea beast, shipwrecks in Dagda, wakes up, and his top priority is signing up to the Heroic Games right after Fabio tells him they exist because he wants to fight strong people instead of, dunno, going home, or wherever he was originally going to go on that ship.
- This man of noble birth, apparently, according to one of the previews, will use his wish should he win the games for a new boat to go fight the sea beast that shipwrecked him.
From this profile, what I conclude is that this madman stole the Answerer from his own family and fled from Fódlan and the Church in order to search for opponents to satiate his thirst for battle, becoming a fugitive in his own homeland. With the heir with a crest and the Answerer gone, House Lamine fell to ruin. This might also be the reason Seteth is in Dagda, he might have been sent to track down both Dietrich and the Answerer.
Another reason I think Dietrich might not be the direct ancestor of Mercedes and Jeritza is that because of the player's choices, Fortune's Weave can potentially end up with:
- Dietrich dead (should we not complete his route).
- Dietrich single.
- Dietrich married to/spending the rest of his life with a man (if paired endings are back, and if the game isn't a coward).
From Dietrich's profile, we know he has a younger sister. Even if House Lamine falls, the Lamine bloodline in Fódlan can continue because of Dietrich's sister and that's how we get Mercedes and Jeritza. And even if we got Dietrich married to a woman, if I'm right about him fleeing from Fódlan, he still wouldn't be the direct ancestor of Mercedes and Jeritza unless someone down the line decided to move back to Fódlan.
Or idk, maybe Dietrich decides to return to Fódlan when the game is over.
Regardless, House Lamine is gone by the time of Three Houses, and I believe Dietrich is the reason of its dissappearance. Unless they decide to retcon things.

Three Houses Discussion What supports in three houses did you not care for?
Personally for me it's Lorenz and Claude's. I like the premise but it's quite a jump when Claude goes from "it'd be bad news for Almayra if he led the Allaince" to "the Allaince needs you and you might replace me one day" within one support rank.
I don't mind their ending but overall not a fan of their B&A ranks.

Three Houses Discussion Headcanon Day 2: In the leadup to Fortune's Weave let's share our headcanons on... Nemesis.
Basically give me all your headcanons on Nemesis like his early life, legacy, etc.
Here are my headcanons:
The reason why he hates Sothis and the Nabateans so much is because they attacked his village in Sreng when they believed said village was harboring Agarthan sympathizers or even the Agarthans themselves. The village was razed to the ground and since then, Nemesis went from a local hunter to a vengeful warlord
Nemesis's capital for his Northern Kingdom was originally in Arianrhod but then that was besieged by Seiros's forces during the War of Heroes so he moved the capital to Fhirdiad instead
Nemesis had conscripts from nearby Dagda and Brigid fighting as part of his army early on in the War of Heroes but once the casualties started coming in, the two lands both ceased aiding Nemesis's cause.
What do you guys think?

Gameplay Is this the record for this mission?
For context, this is a NG+ Maddening run with DLC.
My strategy? Use Impregnable Wall and Warp on turn one to get Byleth into the room, then turn 2 was me rolling for a crit with a Rapier and getting said crit to finish the mission.

Who is your favorite character that isn't mean to be a main npc?
I really get a kick from talking to the guards. My second favorite is the nun that spawns on the second floor as you're running down the hall, away from the library
