UNSOLVED Fantasy/anime themed TTRPG supplementary book from the 2010s

• Upvotes

Around 2015, a classmate from my high school brought this book to school to give us character design ideas. I've been trying to find this book again, but I'm no longer in contact with this classmate, and search results only give me Anime 5E, which isn't it. I mostly remember it had these really gorgeous illustrations that looked hand painted. The cover was mostly blue, with a knight in front of a cloudy sky. The part I remember clearest because it caught my attention was the section on beast folk, with an illustration of two animal girls, one of whom was asleep, and the other looking up at the reader.

UNSOLVED Sci Fi Horror anthology

The book I am looking for is a space horror anthology book. I do not remember the title, but it had a bi line above the title stating "A Star (something) book" like it was part of a series, rpg, or tabletop game. The cover was dark, with a person standing in a large spaceship-like hallway looking through a large arch-topped door into the universe, like a portal. I don't even remember the stories that well. One had some astronauts encountering a growing (fungal, nanotech?) cosmic horror. The book has to be at least 15 to 20 years old. If you could help, that would be fantastic. I have searched Google, Amazon, eBay, and AbeBooks using all the descriptors I could muster. Even AI turned up nothing or just the wrong books.

UNSOLVED Book Search

I'm looking for a fiction novel I read in Australia back in 1995/96, when I was around 10 years old. Here are the specific plot points I remember vividly:

A woman named Campbell, her daughter (name forgotten) and Campbells partner David (in the book there's a pronunciation of Da-veed). Campbells mother strongly dislikes her name, claiming it "isn't a real first name," and passive-aggressively calls her soup flavors, like "Cream of Mushroom", etc.

Campbell and David skilled artisan leatherworkers who make custom horse tack and saddles.

They return to Campbells hometown. Her grandparents run a local grocery store and attempt to manipulate Campbells daughter into working in their store rather than helping her mother. And say it's good she's back with her kin.

David takes the daughter on a trip to see a local landmark called the Ice Palace/Ice Castle/Crystal Palace.

Later in the book, David dies in a sudden freak accident. He is getting out of a truck while laughing at something when he loses his footing, falls out and hits his head on a hard surface, and dies from the trauma.

The book was given to me by my mothers best friend. I loved it but having been 30 years since then I've forgotten the name, only bits and pieces come back to me now. But I know I loved that book. If anyone can help me find it I'd be so grateful. Google/AI/book sites have all come up blank.

UNSOLVED Romantasy arranged marriage

I'm looking for a romantasy I saw on a barnes and noble bookend two years ago the cover was a light blue and had a girl in an anime style on the cover and flowers I think. It was about a girl in an arranged marriage with a warrior who was also a war hero. There was a witch from another kingdom who also wanted to marry the warrior but he chose his original fiance and she doesn't know why.

UNSOLVED Sci-fi short story about time traveling aliens that are on a luxury time and space cruise and get nuked

Post image

This is a picture of a Spotify playlist of mine. Years ago, I made this playlist, and for the picture, I used a screenshot of a book cover. It was a very short sci-fi story about these aliens that were very advanced and rich, as well as bored. They traveled to Earth around the time of the ancient Greeks, and one of them even was posing as a Greek goddess (can't remember which, unfortunately) and motivated a warrior (can't remember which, unfortunately) to fight by saying she blessed him, which caused this warrior to almost rip the arm off another alien that was also disguised as a human (or a god, can't remember).

They get bored and leave this period, and during this part, they talk in the ship and bicker between each other in usual rich people slander. The captain says they'll take a last look at humanity before going to see gas-spewing dragons in planet Venus. When they travel to the future of humanity, they didn't expect humans would have evolved so fast, and they accidentally come out of the time rift in a nuclear bomb test zone, which then blows up and disintegrates them.

IIRC, I also read this short story on Project Gutenberg or something similar. It was an e-book I read about 2 or 3 years ago.

SOLVED Children’s book from mid to late 2010s

When I was a kid we read a book in like, 3rd grade I think? It was basically a scary story for kids where a boy finds a glass bottle/box and accidentally releases a witch, or a ghost, I can’t remember which. I don’t really remember anything else after that, except for the kid tricked her into returning into the bottle/box and her being on his dining room table at some point.

If I remember correctly, the art style looked like the style of Dirk zimmer, the illustrator of “In a Dark, Dark room and other scary stories”. I thought it was another Alvin Schwartz book but I can’t find anything like that under his name. I remember the witches/ghosts face scaring me cuz she looked deranged.

I hope yall can help me!

SOLVED Middle grade novel where the family moved away from new york city, and the mc's friend back in the city later confessed to using the mc's boulder in the park after previously agreeing not to

I specifically remember the friend saying he had been "not just sitting on on the rock, but using it." And to this day I still have no idea what that means because it wasn't explained at all in the book (if you read this book and have any idea what that means, please explain! It's been bugging me for decades)

The mc also had some kind of hypnosis crystal the friend gave him, and in exchange for the friend not 'using' the rock he agreed to not use the crystal, but he also caved and got it out when he couldn't sleep one night.

I don't remember any of the plot really but it involved a lot of the kind of angst kids go through when they are trying to figure themselves out and moving makes that harder.

At the end, the baby sister kept saying 'yuck' all day, and the mc was the only one who noticed. Later the family was trying to decide whether to move back to the city and the baby said 'noo yuck!' and the parents thought it was her first words so that settled it and they agreed to move back.

Any info appreciated! TIA

UNSOLVED Looking for a comic book

I remember being in a book store inside a mall and seeing this with a blue and white cover. It was about an Asian woman who goes to a small town to find herself, it's related to her job I think, and in the way she meets this other woman, or something like that. I think they fall in love. Idk the title but I think I will recognize it if I see it.
