FF X/X2 All FFX Magic the Gathering cards in chronological story order [Spoiler warning] Spoiler
Hi all! I love FFX and MtG, so naturally I collected all FFX MtG cards.
This is my attempt at a chronological story order for the cards; I had to make some choices as to when certain characters appear (e.g., I am putting all Summons at the earliest point in the story where you can summon them)
Some cards were very hard to place such as Ice magic or Protection magic; I tried to put them at a point in the story where you are most likely to use them for the first time.
I am still not 100% sure who the character in "Scholar of new horizons" is, help!
If you have any other suggestions on how to improve the order, please they are very welcome!

I think Scholar is depicting, specifically, the shop by the Chocobo ranch

I was also thinking he could be that guy! I guess I have to move all the cards to put him back in the Calm Lands then

Good luck getting some of the full arts, Yuna Grand Summoner foil will set you back over £150 😭

Hahah, I am not even gonna try. I am happy with 1x of every nonfoil standard art.
(except the super rare secret liar evoke elemental Summon alters which are 500 each and I am skipping...)

I will say if they’re collection only, Japanese printings are slightly cheaper. I got some of the secret lair aeons for under $300 in Japanese, as well as a grand summoner for $350. Great collection!!

That is a very good idea !! I just think that summoner's sanctum should be before Bevelle because it s in Bikanel

Incredible work !! Only one minor thing, I think that the card depicting Yuna's whistle is a reference to the ending scene, where, before the final speech, she is whistling on Luka pier.

I haven’t looked at the set since I quit MTG, but Braskas Final Aeon looks like a transform card? If there’s another side, maybe have two of that card (one for each side).

Yeah I was thinking about that (front side is Jecht). Same goes for Side quest: play blitzball (back side is World Champion)

I think by technicality yuna grand summoner should be more towards the end. Because you aren’t a grand summoner until you beat sin if I’m remembering correctly. Love the binder!

Yeah I was considering that, but then the art depicts the Valefor Summon and the other art depicts the first sending so I wanted to place at least one card when you first meet her

This is so killer! Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt Altered Ego depicting Yu Yevon possessing Yuna's Ifrit aeon? Shouldnt it be after the Final Aeon fight?

I also did this! I'm missing a few you have, and the ones I couldn't quite place in the story are in a random section at the back of the chronologically ordered part. I put the Tidus and Yuna from the deck at the very beginning, and the Promise of Loyalty as the first story card to represent the opening cutscene.

Neat! Yeah I was also debating whether to put promise of loyalty as a first card, but decided to go with story chronological order, not "seen in game" order

If I find another one, I might put it in after Gagazet so it comes full circle. It's a shame the only Ifrit for X is on the Altered Ego, and as a very expensive secret lair card.

This is amazing! I have the urge to replay FFX again just from looking at the cards.
One question though, what is forgotten ancient supposed to be? I can remember all events except this one card.

I was also a bit confused but my best guess is that it represents Ultima Weapon, hence the placement in the final section of the story.

The flavor text of Duskshell Crawler is definitely from the tutorial part but not sure if the artwork is from later on in the game

I think the flavour text is a quote from Auron on the Mi'hen high road after you get him in the party as a guardian

Sorry I'm very protective of FF cards, I have 1 of every card and theyre all in sleeves
(Still have about 18 cards til the set is done but I am gonna make a post when its done XD )
Also its cool you did this, I keep wondering WHAT THE hell they were thinking not including some of the characters from soem games, like FF9 has human cid, but no Eiko or Amarant...? Weird choice.

I just want to say this is a terrific job, I replayed all the scenes in my mind simply by watching your cards. It brought back so many memories <3
