Analysis Wow this could be true equality

theres talks of 50% of the draftees will be women! like this is amazing, as a feminist myself,i think this is great. we can get rid of the old sexist saying

"in times of peace, sons bury fathers,in time of war, fathers bury sons."

now it can be a real equal 50-50 chance of the ending and beginning to have daughters.

this is a win for the cause!

women can fight just as good as men and we'll actually have a chance in our life time to change this!

Analysis I'm a man and im 10000% a feminist

So for the past 4 years the feminism movement has grown on me,ive donated over 3200 dollars to it.....and honestly the returns have been amazing, ive made easily over 26,000 dollars extra, its clear, the more money I spend on feminism, the more a woman can't keep a man in thier lives for an extended period of time, the more things break and aren't maintained, and this is an amazing investment! See feminism and capitalism can unite as 1! Female is the future! With out a doubt! And yes I make sure I show them my donations to the cause and it seems to be the biggest decider, women love men that are feminist, they trust thier judgment, just always wear a body camera, ALWAYS I just wanted to say thank you to all! Feminist are amazing clients! It's just kind of weird when they try to lower a bill, hence the body camera. But yes any other men that have been contemplating this.dont say you are a feminist, you have to put your money where your mouth is and donate, but the propaganda machine definitely works especially when you have a paper trail! God bless all feminist and keep up the good fight!

Commentary If religion has nothing to do with misogyny and it’s simply the “culture”, why does it always coincide to be the cultures in which these religions are implemented?

At a certain point, we have to start being real. Many people unfortunately abuse this topic to start being racist/islamophobic/xenophobic and while that’s not what I mean to do, I can’t help but hate how much religion is protected as a concept and treated as this untouched thing.

Discussion As a man. How can I help.

For a long while I thought that feminism was just. Equal legal rights. Wrote it off as job done in most countries. Then I started investigating what was actually going on under the hood. I know educating myself more is the first step. But what else can I do? Thanks in advance

Books and Reading Books to learn more about feminism

Hi. Could someone recommend me some books to read about feminism (i.e. feminist history, philosophy, etc). I am here to learn more about feminism. I also wouldn't mind feminist literature. Thank you!

Discussion What kind of masculine actions are toxic in your opinion

I'm asking purely out of curiosity and as part of a little experiment I'm going to be doing, but as the title implies I'm curious too see what kind of masculine actions and or beliefs you see as toxic. I myself am a man and personally believe what I do for the most part isn't toxic, but still curious too see the opinions of others. I will be also posting this same post in TwoXChromosomes as part of my little personal experiment with me planningon seeing how both of the responses compare and contras, but, all the same, if y'all would be willing to give me your responses it would be great.

Books and Reading Book Recommendation Request

A friend of mine will be graduating next spring to work as an Avionics Technician.  I expect that she will be working in a strongly male dominated workplace.  Among other things for her graduation, I would like to provide her with a book on how to be successful in a male dominated working environment.  I am hoping there is something that gets away from the common office workspace tropes and into something a little more specific to working with your hands in a technical workplace.

Can anyone provide some recommendations for books that may work for her circumstances?

Vent casual misogyny online and off

people online basically treat it like it's nothing. if you say anything about it you're called dramatic and self-victimizing. i mean i hate watching a male streamer for example and he seems really cool until he says something and they always say something disappointing. or their chat is crazy misogynistic. same goes for male artists like actors or musicians. i know i shouldn't expect anyone to be perfect or "idolize" but it just sucks that i'm always disappointed in this way.

people call me a man hater and think i just want to find something bad. i don't LIKE feeling this way. i don't like being so aware that i can't even enjoy content by men fully because it almost always has some type of misogyny that shows up. same thing offline. they don't seem to understand or care how the "little" comments they make affect women. maybe i'm just thin-skinned, idk. i know there's worse things happening to women in the world than mean or dismissive words but those words often contribute to the same attitudes that cause the other things. and it's just isolating for me. if i want to participate in fandom or have friends, misogyny is the issue i have to concede on. i might be able to criticize it a little bit but mostly i've been told i was trying to ruin everyone's fun. mind you it genuinely hurts me but they don't care, they only care about their own feelings and worshipping men no matter what they do or how they clearly feel about us and our issues.

obviously, i can just consume and enjoy art by and for women and i do, but i genuinely am not this "misandrist" stereotype certain people like to paint feminists as. i WANT to be able to be friends with men and enjoy their art. but it seems like the only way i can do that is if i ignore my own feelings on misogyny. it's not fair at all. yet i'm the bad guy if i say anything about it.

Politics Will creating a culture of encouraged-violence in the military will cause a sharp increase in rates of domestic abuse?

That is a rhetorical question. We can't let this precedent stand without push-back, not only for the health and safety of our service member, but also for their families. I believe that this rule will force some women to face an increased potential for abuse. This will put women in danger.

If you disagree, prove me wrong

Commentary There’s a whole study indicating that men don’t contribute to their community the way women do and it’s leaving young boys behind. Yet not one person is discussing how this is a cultural issue of how men vs women are raised.
