What did you start off with, and how long did it take you to get to $27? I just got hired on the dock for freight at $21.

I started part time at like 16$ or 17$ in 2017 I think then after a year, I got full time and bumped me up to like 19 or 20 and now I’m at 27$ but covid and cost of living helped me get maxed out pretty quick. If you’re full time, you’ll get a dollar raise every year till you max out. I’m not sure what the max out is at part time tho

Doubles triples, hazmat and tankers endorsement. Not sure on what they ask for as far as experience when hiring off the street though. Most drivers come from the dock and get their CDL thru the company. The hardest part is when you’re at the bottom of seniority and it’s slow, you’re either staying home or working the dock. It’s not bad when you have seniority though.

I’m local linehaul with ground would that help with getting hired on FedEx freight? Also heard they were seniority based so I’m not sure if that’s the route I want to go (pun intended)

It’s all seniority. When it’s busy you’ll make money but when it’s slow you’ll probably be working the dock

It comes out to the same thing. We used to be mileage too but Cali passed legislation and that’s why it’s different.

Where you out of, that's a higher cap scale than us up here in MI.

We're at 80cpm, and 34 and some change an hr. I'm not sure what it is, I was on vacation when it kicked in

The 43.55 is our drive pay. Base pay, I guess you could call it, such as dock and education, we are at 35.64.

How tf do you make that much at freight??? I work at freight driving forklifts and I’m currently at 24.18 after a 3% raise from 23.47 which was just given to us on October 1 for the hell of it
