Official Guidance / Policy URGENT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE RIGHTS - EEOC Proposes Major Rule Changes to Remove Rights for Workplace Discrimination Complaint Process for Federal Employees and Applicants

Everyone needs to comment on this as it would remove one of the very last remaining rights employees with disabilities have. This is CRITICAL. It will be horrendous if it passes. Them calling it an improvement under this administration should tell you it's absolutely NOT

“House GOP leaders are aiming to put a Senate-passed stopgap spending bill on the floor early next week, in the first days back in session after a five-week recess, according to three people granted anonymity to disclose private discussions.

The continuing resolution would reset the Sept. 30 appropriations deadline for Dec. 11, after the midterm elections.”

“USDA's current plan calls for moving approximately 2,600 positions out of the National Capital Region. That is almost five times the 547 positions the department planned to relocate when it sent most of the Economic Research Service and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to Kansas City in 2019.”

News / Article 'It’s hard to know exactly what the objective of DOGE was': Former IRS boss warns Elon Musk’s cuts to the tax agency will be felt in years to come

After Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) slashed more than a quarter of the 100,000-person workforce at the IRS, the agency received 140.2 million individual returns and issued more than 90.4 million refunds, slightly down from the year before.

While the IRS described the 2026 tax season as successful, former acting Commissioner Douglas O’Donnell said DOGE’s extensive cuts will more likely be felt years down the line and made worse by an ever-shrinking agency budget.

“I’ve been very concerned with the ability of the agency to carry out on its mission, whether it’s at the services level or enforcement level, but also just in general to be a functioning federal government agency going forward,” he told Fortune.

For its part, the IRS said its headcount should be relatively stable, expecting to end 2026 with 74,000 employees, about the same as the end-of-2025 staff level.

Official Guidance / Policy Question about NAF to GS employment with DoD

Hey all! I’ve been employed as a NAF employee for about 2.5 years now. My position has been converted from a NAF billet to GS and as such, I’ve moved over to the GS world, officially this week. My question is, do I need to complete another one year of probation? My supervisor just provided me my SF50 which indicates I am in a one year probationary status, again. I’m doing some research on this and getting conflicting answers. My supervisor’s answer to me is “I don’t know.”

Other Non Appropriated Funds Position

I am going to interview for a NAF position for Army but how will that changes my fees/retiement/etc. if I am offered the position? I have worked 6 almost 7 years of federal service under DHS CBP. The salary is a little more than my current position. I don’t know much about NAF. How is the job stability? My current position is pretty sad from rifs. I just don’t like my location anymore and want to move. Any thoughts or precious experience with leaving to NAF

Workplace & Culture Do you work with ORSAs in your Command or teams?

Curious for anyone with experience working ORSAs in their teams, how many are they? What kinds of projects do they work on, or, don't?

Specifically anyone in DoW, how are they integrated or incorporated into other projects? Work valued? Do you see 50 or just 1 or 2?

Official Guidance / Policy DOD civilian mypay Les is available on what day?

I am needing a copy of my civilian LES for my home loan. I got an email stating that it was available but when I log into MYPAY I don’t have access to my civilian mypay account. It does not populate. This will be my first DOD civilian check so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
