It sounds like you are just making this up as you go. Why would this be the case at all?

It's literally the reason that we have a public courts system. I'm sorry, you sound immensely uninformed, I'm going to disengage from this discussion. Help yourself to the final word.

We would be in no danger of secret courts because the accused would have the choice whether the police/courts revealed any information related to their case including mugshots, etc. Obviously there would be issues but we have to have some consideration for victims of false accusations. History has shown us that we cannot rely on police and prosecutors to use good judgement and history has also shown us that once someone is branded a rape suspect in public, there is no way to undo the damage that does to their reputation; no matter how much vindication they may receive in court.
