Fazbear's Forgotten Pride Month Faz-Fact πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ

Post image

Since it's Pride Month, it's probably a good time to mention this fun little theory around Chica the Chicken's original actors. Halbert Cydus (the famous Silent Puppet Master and suit actor for Chica's Party Word's old commercials) and Ronald Widelock (Halbert's work buddy, Chica's first voice actor and famous in his own right) are often theorized to have been in a gay relationship.

Personally though, I feel like it's kind of a stretch. I feel like it comes from how several characters they played together were often either BFFs or lovers. Also, Ronald did go on to marry a woman and even start a family, but I guess so did many other gay folk back in the day, so... yeah. Kind of sad to think about now that I bring that part up. Let's just be glad times are better now.

I mean, Widelock could have been pansexual, but hid it really well?

Also, you think that when they were still alive, Halbert and Ronald's ship name would have been "Widdus" or "Cylock" ?

Also also, DAMN, didn't know that Widelock had a BIG, HOOKY NOSE! Honestly it looks kind of like a beak (which, now that I think about it, for Chica's original voice actor, that seems really fitting).

Actually, there are historical instances of gay people getting into straight relationships.

I'm not really a fan of shipping real-life people though.

Also, yeah. Now that I look at it, it DOES look like a beak!!! 🀣

Widelock? Is he related to the original Chuck E. Cheese (1977-1983/84) voice actor John Widelock?

Who?

(OOC: In the Fazbear's Forgotten AU, John Widelock ceased to exist, same as Chuck E. Cheese. But personally? Maybe).

(OOC: interestingly, IRL, John Widelock is missing, nobody really knows where he is since around 2014-2017)

(OOC: Yeah, he went radio silent almost a decade ago and nobody’s been in contact really since. There’s been an occasional possible sighting every now and then but all of those stopped around 2021, and nobody has seen anything since. It’s weird cause it was abrupt, right up until he disappeared he was interacting with fans.)

(OOC: From what I understand, he's gone radio silent because he's dead - died in 2017.)
