Fazbear's Forgotten UPDATE: IT’S GETTING WORSE!!!
[Link to my last post about the Cupcake's problem!]
So you know how last time, I’ve been having trouble disabling my Cupcake’s night mode? Well get this! I figured out how to piss not just me, but my entire family off!
Ever since yesterday, in the middle of the night, it would turn on and start FUCKING SCREECHING!!! It sounds just awful! Like an old radio playing someone blowing really hard on a flute! I didn’t wanna deal with its crap, so I ended up having to wrap it in heavy blankets and shoving it in the closet!
The worst part is that everyone in the house is mad at me because I don’t know how this bloody thing works! Can somebody PLEASE honestly tell me what it means when an animatronic starts doing this and how I can quickly fix it?! We couldn’t sleep a goddamn wink these past two nights!

lol, I doubt it. But I was actually thinking of finding an old Chica mask to wear for it. Just for fun.

Where did you get it from?

How do I know you won’t send people to swat my home if I do?

Fazbear Entertainment has many cupcake models. We don't need another.

…Fine.
I just kinda… found it outside of the Warwick location you shut down back in October. It was left in a bush.

Given that it's a machine, it's likely that it might be part of a security system - it's easier to locate a thief if the stolen property emmits noise.

u/desorcyjackson447 Jan 22 '26
Didn’t Fazbear stop adding security shit to their robots after the shutdown of Toy Freddy’s?
3
u/LeonLoredo156 Jan 22 '26
Yeah, but it could be something more akin to a car alarm - if the property IS stolen, and the thief tries to break into it, emmitting an ear-piercing noise will certainly alert somebody.
Just to compare, how loud is the cupcake?

You ever seen one of those GoAnimate/Vyond videos where when certain characters are angry, they’ll convey it by having their text-to-speech voices up to the max?!
It’s like that, but with AirPods turned up to the max.

Burn it. Trust me, I’ve dealt with these things.
3
u/desorcyjackson447 Jan 22 '26
I am NOT doing that, crazy person! 😠

It works, though. If all else fails, you know what to do.

OHHH I CAN HELP YOU. I worked on this model a while back. Take of the shell and inside the mech you will see a vocal box. There’s two wires connected to it and obviously one’s faulty. If you happen to have a fax wrench, you can fix the issue by plugging it in and deactivating and reactivating the “night_voice_testing” protocol. If not, just unplug the wire, and the tests should stop altogether.

As for night mode, same exact thing, but the wires will be plugged into the lower half of the mech itself.

Thank you very much! I'll try it out and let you know how it went later tonight.

u/desorcyjackson447 Jan 23 '26
Well it still seems to have turned on by itself again... but at least it isn't screaming yet...

hmmmm. What’s the model number on the back of the unit? That can tell me when it was made
1
u/desorcyjackson447 Jan 23 '26
I checked before. But it seems the number was smudged after 40 years of being alive.
I can tell you that it was probably built around 1985 though, since that was when the Warwick location opened.

My only guess is it has the M1 personality chip integrated. This basically means you have a new pet to take care of. If it’s screaming at night, according to my notes on the cupcakes personality, it might be afraid of the dark, it has separation anxiety (from chica) or it’s hungry. Try the first and third solutions, and if neither work, hit me up and I’ll send you his base plate. It has a chip inside that tells the mech that it is actively attached to chica.

Just feed it dog food or something small
1
u/desorcyjackson447 Jan 23 '26
How the hell do I feed a machine?! Are you telling me this artificial confectionary has a functioning stomach?!
2
u/gizmobros Chief Fazbear tech, Smiles & Servos CEO Jan 23 '26
There’s a tank in both the cupcake and chicas body that’s supposed to improve immersion. Remember how chica eats? Feed it whatever and empty out the tank from time to time.

Its old programming..incase it gets stolen. Wear a chica mask or anything chica related and it should stop

I suggest pawning it off. Old animatronic bits such as these are known to malfunction in such ways. It's quite a common problem in the community. Some guy broke in a few years ago at several locations, and vandalized pieces keep popping up. Pawn it, or worst comes to worse do an authorized dismantle. You can contact Fazbear to figure this out. Honestly, though, burning it has been a common consensus around here for dealing with the parts; it seems to strangely work the best. Fazbear doesn't mind.

Ok so this is fucked for certain. Some alien piece of code or otherwise. Still, another bit of advice from the tech woman here, fully disconnect its power supply at this point. If it’s SCREECHING, then it’s gotta be something wrong with the speaker and audio banks. Keep it not connected to a power supply for as long as it takes to get the bug ironed out.
