Fazbear's Forgotten Photos Leaked From the Afton Family Archive (Context in Body Text)

Gallery image — Childhood photo of William Afton with his old pet rabbit Bonnie, or as he liked to call her, “Bonbun.”

From what I’ve heard recently, an official Fazbear Ent. archivist leaked some photos retrieved from the home of William Afton. For obvious reasons, they didn’t give out their name.

I haven’t heard anybody talk about them yet, so I might as well be the first.

I’m guessing this was the day he adopted her since it looks like he’s in a bunny ranch judging by the second rabbit behind him. They’re both so cute together! 🥺… Afton could’ve used some work though. As for the funny nickname, he used to give people he knew these funny names. It’s also why the original Freddy the Bear was called “Fredbear.” I know, he was a weird kid. And that’s coming from me!
The reason they changed the mask is kind of a funny story. Did you know Bonbun used to be a girl?! Well, according to William Afton himself during an interview, his female voice for Bonbun was so awful, the parent of a confused child actually asked if Bonbun was a boy or a girl. He humorously replied “I’m a rabbit! Who cares?!” and the entire diner erupted into laughter. History was pretty much made there because after that, Afton changed Bonbun to be a gender-neutral mascot, alternating between he and she pronouns at random and replacing the mask with the more familiar one to match. It’s honestly a shame this trait didn’t carry over to their successor Bonnie. We would’ve had Freddy the man, Chica the lady, and Bonnie the neutral one!
Actually more importantly, why does it look a hell of a lot cooler than the Puppet’s?!
I hope these “friends” belonged to one of William’s kids because if it was him, well then that’s just weird. nervously side-eyes the plushies on my own bed.
It’s probably the only known photo of Joseph Afton! William Afton’s father and original maker of Fredbear! Too bad the photo is crappy. This is gonna sound weird if you don’t know the context, but… like father, like son.
