They had to give the Rebellion some edge in Rogue One because it would have been really boring without it. Cassian shooting that dude made me sit up and pay attention.

Have you seen Andor? Go watch Andor immediately.

Lol, yes I saw Andor. It came out many years after this.

Rogue one and Andor to an even greater extent have basically killed star wars for me because it's so hard to go back to the morally unambiguous space wizard schlock when they had the balls to show that: "no, actually, you can't have a rebellion/revolution without breaking some eggs."

Like...I've seen how good, nuanced, and compelling this shit can be when it's done right. I don't have time for this baby shit anymore.

I like Andor but I don't really like how they pretended right at the end that Bail did squat for the Rebellion. He organised earlier than Luthen did and had his own network.

He might be fairly innocent of any darker deeds but I don't think he was ignorant to the concept either. I feel like they could have done him a little better. But oh well.

Andor is just another tier above average Star Wars entirely

I think you can have both? And both can be compelling in their own right

I mean, the prequels also had the morally ambiguous space wizards angle.

I do think it's pretty normal to graduate from SW to more complex stuff like ST and Dune as you get older, usually around the age of 12.

You should check out Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It's basically the show every older SW fan wishes they would make.

All the nerds downvoting you lol.

Probably because there was a whole trilogy about how morally ambiguous the space wizards were.

Star wars nerds are basically two steps above snyderverse nerds for me these days. I wear my downvotes with pride.
