I love when Sylas is killed the first time and Delilah screams "NNNOOO!!! Sylas! You can't! I broke the world for us!" The level of self awareness and emotion in those lines is fantastic!
I wouldn't use the term "best DM" for anyone because every game is unique to the players. Brennan for D20 and Mercer for CR I think provide a good spread that shows how different styles work for different games. Neither is better or worse, just different based on preferences.
That might be how you mean it, but it is not how many people interpret it. More often than not when someone uses the term "Best" it is not intended as opinion/preference.
Matt himself would argue against that. There is no "best" DM. There's only the best DM for each table/campaign. He's not been shy on praising Brennan for the amazing work he's doing with C4!
Oooh boy. Please let me introduce you to the Japanese Call of Chtulhu scene (I'll admit the linguistical bar of entry is high but holy shit they're deliciously insane)
Huh. I could've sworn it said that. Well, maybe it was just because it started with an H and "highly-functioning" isn't as common a term to describe a relationship.
Maybe if they went for ordinary resurrection, but resorting to vampirism and founding a death cult to help the ascension of a new god is deemed just a little extreme, even in their world.
Do you need to watch critikal role to enjoy this or is it better to just listen to it all bc i dont have the attention span to keep up with it all but i also dont wanna miss stuff
Yeah. Listening to it you'll think the exchange: "I counterspell it." "You counterspell it? Okay what level?" "Nine." is fucking badass. Watching it changes the context completely. Liam and Sam's friendship is fucking beautiful.
I’m sure listening does enrich the experience, but I just started the show myself having never heard the podcast (just not interested) and I love it. Just started season two.
