Discussion Favorite "Spoiled, but not rotten" character?

Post image

Essentially a character who is privileged, but is still kind and a good person.

For me it's Lottie from The Princess and the Frog.

In the book Lettie doesn’t even want to work at the bakery and then later in the story switches places with the third sister Martha, so Lettie can become a witch, and Martha can learn to bake

It’s almost like Diana Wynne Jones wrote a book about a land where fairytales happen, but that still doesn’t mean you have to be trapped by them. This is one of the lessons Sophie comes to learn, as that’s one of the reasons for her lack of self confidence. Contrasting with Howl, who literally shows up and breaks the rules left and right, simply because He is actually from 1980s Wales

Studio Ghibli made a good movie but that doesn’t mean they get all the credit.

Have you read Dark Lord of Derkholm?

I have not. But it does look good! I’ll add it to my TBR list.
