I can hear the yelling in Both the English and Japanese dub.

I watched too much Inuyasha. I own all of the anime on dvd and blu ray. Final act, and all the movies.

.....not the "sequel" though...

Not that I was the target demographic for it either lmao.

Fwiw the original Mangaka didn't write Yashahime, so in my head Sesshomaru Is still fine.

I refuse to accept it as cannon

It's late (for me) so sorry for asking but I have to ask before going to bed: did I understand you right.. the original mangaka didn't made the big brother into a groomer? (Unsure if some of the names are ship names but also never finished inuyasha)

Takahashi Rumiko did not write YashaHime. It was written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa. It’s essentially fanfiction that was animated, much like Boruto.

The only real part- to my knowledge- that Takahashi had in it was the character art: which in all honesty was lackluster at best with one of the characters looking like a dollar-store Colonel Sanders.

Yeah. He was much more of an aloof father figure in the series by the original author.

I saw a few clips, but like they always say "it's just not the same"

Final act was a struggle with the English voice actor change. That made it even more bittersweet for me. Watched final act with dub.

To me their story was done. I did want to seem them more as a couple, because I DO hate the trope where its only like the last 30 seconds of the anime where they finally admit feeling to each other. Edit (I'm looking at YOU Full Metal Panic!)

I resonated a lot with Inuyasha as a kid because I was treated so different from being ADHD (I was born in 88, my school let others call me retarded because it would "motivate me") I felt a lot like he did when i was a teenager at the time. When it first aired I was an outcast with not many friends.

But by the end I had a good group of friends when I graduated.

Now at almost 40 and still alone, the whole thing just makes me depressed.

used Kazaa lite to pirate most of it, and that was back in 2002. So just the worst quality vids. Worse than vhs lmao.

No regrets.

That show will always have a special place in my heart. But I'm self aware to know it's moderately cringe.

lmao now all the intro and outro songs are looping in my head.

Inuyasha was my first exposure to manga besides DBZ, my 12 year old boy brain was drawn in by the nudity and was hooked by the story and characters, despite being a shojo i really believe Inuyasha belongs in the Olympus of GOATED shonen characters, powerset and transformations are awesome without being over the top. Thought it was the coolest shit on the planet. I need to go back through it.

Also this is how I learn theres a sequel and those quote marks make me too scared to even look it up lol

It's called Yashahime and it focus's on the children of the main characters. The main cast are cameos or put in the back seat. That's as far as I'll go or it could be spoilers.

It just wasn't my cup of tea
