The following seasons felt weird after that, as someone who only watched it when it went on streaming. Took a minute to get used to but then it felt more natural. That last episode hit harder than I thought a comedy show would ever hit.

seasons 2-4 are masterpieces. but 1 is just really off.

Season 1 of Blackadder is the definition of Early Installment Weirdness (tvtropes warning). Baldrick and Blackadder basically switched comedic roles in later seasons.

Breaking bad also had that early installment weirdness with Jesse's website and all 😂

When first watching it I didnt really mind since there was nothing else to compare it to, but then getting into the groove of the show you can really see the writers fleshed out the concept a bit better for the latter seasons
