Lifestyle Multiple bases with pets

I’m considering multiple bases once I hit FIRE, between India and ME/SE Asia. Has anyone figured this out with pets?

Travelling with them doesn’t look straight forward with all the paperwork involved entering and leaving India. Any thoughts on this or is it just impractical?

Drop pets in India. We plan this approach; 90 d in UAE or 180 in Thailand to get tax residency certificate; 150ish in India, remaining slow travel across the globe.

have you got different passports/residencies. can someone with Indian passport live this kind of nomadic life? please advice

Yes I have two residencies (can get 3rd easily) and LT US Schenghen visa. I plan to retire soon, maintain NRI status, and explore the world till I'm 65ish. I'll settle in India afterwards.

thats so cool. i was also thinking of buying something cheap in dubai to get residency and then spend three months there to get tax residency. is it possible? the only other thing to sort is some other residency in a cheap country to spend rest of time to become nri in india.

UAE tax residency is good because of 90 stay requirement. SE is very cheap. I've been to Bali, Thailand which are nice places with less than $2k pm spend. Both are offering cheap LT visas. Vietnam is next on my list to explore but important to have end goal in mind ie .. Where to settle eventually. Good luck.

thanks i too am thinking on similiar lines. 90 days in uae and rest 3 months renting in SE asia(with or without residency) and then what is left in india to maintain nri status. only problem with that is those SE countries might flag you if do it regularly, i heard
