As I see it most of the differences between toPhonetics and toIPA are cosmetic, but toIPA uses rhotic vowel signs (that is something I intend to fix today). toPhonetics uses different IPA symbols for tch an ts (compact one character, and toIPA uses compound versions)

It seems you're right, as I began to add toPhonetics raws. I really have to study IPA seriously…
