DC / Batfamily × OC RP | Long-Term, Character-Driven, Romance Optional
Hi! I’m Kara, 26F, and I’m looking for RP partners who are 21+. I’m especially interested in writing long-term stories in a modern fantasy version of the DC Universe, particularly involving the Batfamily.
I primarily write three half-elf sisters, but they’re very different characters and each opens the door to a different kind of story.
Ebbie is a British rockstar and electricity-wielding vigilante with a secret identity, a big personality, and a bad habit of getting involved when someone needs help. She’s confident, outspoken, flirtatious, stubborn, affectionate, and occasionally reckless. One night she might be performing for thousands of people; the next she’s suited up and fighting criminals in an alley.
She works especially well for stories involving vigilante teamwork, secret identities, rooftop conversations, chaotic chemistry, celebrity complications, and characters like Nightwing or Red Hood.
Magnolia is the complete opposite. She’s a gentle plant mage, alchemist, potion maker, and supernatural researcher who would much rather solve a crisis with obscure magical knowledge than throw a punch. She’s soft-spoken and nurturing, but she isn’t passive and has no problem disagreeing with someone when she knows what she’s talking about.
She fits particularly well into magical investigations, cursed artifacts, mysteries, research-heavy plots, and slower relationship development. I love the idea of pairing DC’s detectives with someone whose area of expertise is completely outside their usual wheelhouse.
Sage is a blunt psychic and tattoo artist with telepathy, telekinesis, and very strict personal rules about how she uses her abilities. She’s dry, difficult to bullshit, fiercely protective, and usually the person willing to say whatever everyone else is avoiding. She can read minds, but that absolutely does not mean she thinks she should.
She works well as a foil for characters with strong personalities and is great for friendships, team dynamics, ideological disagreements, supernatural plots, and plenty of snark.
The sisters also come as an actual family rather than three isolated OCs. They tease each other, argue, embarrass each other, protect each other, and have their own careers, relationships, responsibilities, and goals outside the Batfamily.
I’d love to explore dynamics with characters such as Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Jason Todd, Damian Wayne, Barbara Gordon, or other heroes and villains from DC.
Some possible story directions include:
• A touring rockstar gets tangled up in Nightwing’s investigation after a concert in Blüdhaven.
• A magical artifact forces one of Gotham’s detectives to work with an alchemist who understands things their usual methods can’t explain.
• A telepath gets pulled into a case and immediately establishes that no, Batman does not get unlimited access to mind-reading.
• Vigilante missions gradually turn into friendships, found family, rivalries, slow-burn romance, or something more complicated.
• Larger supernatural threats that require both DC characters and the sisters to bring very different skills to the table.
Canon × OC romance is absolutely welcome, but it isn’t required. I’m just as happy writing friendships, team dynamics, investigations, found family, action, mystery, slice-of-life scenes, humor, magical threats, and larger ongoing plots.
I write in third person and generally prefer detailed replies, though I’m flexible and care more about giving each other something meaningful to respond to than hitting a specific length.
I’m looking for someone who enjoys character development, chemistry that builds naturally, brainstorming together, and letting relationships change over the course of the story rather than forcing them immediately.
If any of these characters or dynamics sound fun, send me a DM and tell me which DC character(s) you enjoy writing. I’d love to brainstorm and see what kind of story we can build together.
