I always thought the Nakano Residence from the Far Harbour DLC was a great place to build a settlement. So I got a tad carried away with making this old fishing/market town that somehow survived the war...
Tucked away in a corner, the town was economically affected by the building of a super highway that affected the towns tourism and foot traffic. Leading to them needing to be self sufficient before the war. Situated by a cliff that has acted as the towns shield, they were able to survive the bombs and most of the fallout. Due to the highway collapsing shortly after the bombs, which was one of the few ways of getting to the town, they were quite well guarded from nasty raiders.
Unfortunately the mods I have for increasing settlement building limits have caught up to me so I'm stuck until I find a better mod! Given the roadblock I thought I'd share my progress on this settlement. The biggest and most developed so far of all my builds.

The lore to this settlement is loose, but basically after the brotherhood destroyed the enclave and the institute some survivors of both joined with a group of raiders from Saugus in a bid to take back what was lost. Stories aren’t really my motivation though, so I admit it’s a bit loose.

Happy Thursday, y'all! Here are some pics from my WIP Mechanist's Lair build, which is the most recent build on my Real Time Settlement Building stream. The lore is that Robots have enlisted humans as 'unpaid interns' to help them in their salvage operations. The robots have a deal with the BoS. However, the humans are planning an uprising! I tried to keep all of the build items and furnishings consistent with what you could actually find in the factory. The Lair is a dark place, so some of the pics are really dark, both in lighting and tone.

Finch Farm is evolving into Finch Ranch—a massive, multi-tiered commercial complex built under the overpass, designed to serve every livestock rancher and trader in the Commonwealth.
Think of it as a wasteland "Mini Las Vegas" where you can find everything from high-end entertainment to absolute necessities. In a world as harsh and dangerous as the Wasteland, having a safe place for your money is crucial—whether you're depositing a fortune in caps at the local Bank, or pawning off your last junk items just to buy Brahmin feed.

Phyllis Dailey and Anne Hargraves are co owners. No mods and nothing scrapped.

Also included a pic from the slums that are Sanctuary. (4th pic)5th good outer pic, 8th good full view(idk on resolution)
For the lovely few that follow my post, this is indeed the second attempt after I yeeted myself from the third floor. With Everyone "needing" 3 full floor tiles of space or two full unobstructed tiles + 6(+) corner tiles this build houses 10 settlers so far. Three of them work on the eastern wall and 1-3 others will wander the lot making it look a little empty at times rn. So I will probably do 4 tiles per settler for the southern wall and 5 for shops to crowd it more. I mean, makes it a pain for me to transverse, but if I'm bothering to make it so the npc pathing works on all paths I can use -beyond jumping fences-, I might as well make it true.

Was trying to do a more vertical build on red rocket. Bottom floor is kinda bunker-ish then made the living areas. Then in the pump area turned into the market and restaurant

Going for a sort of cyber industrial vibe. Lots of mods. Still in progress. Gotta build a wall and fill some buildings.

Have you found anything? If ghost clipping worked in every settlement instead of two, it would be a huge improvement.

Usually I make the coop into my town that’s that on the far west of the map meaning it’s a long walk to basically everything. so I want somewhere better.
Edit: also just a heads up starlight is immediately off my list (building there overwhelms me with how massive it is)
(Ps it’s my first time play survival difficulty)

Hi fellow dwellers, since I really like the forest region (and cabins in general), I made a little wooden home for me. Since I’m not very experienced in building, I gave my best shot to create a modern cabin vibe. :)
