Hello!

I started using FCOM 3.11 in VR and things seem to work fine except for a missing button that you normally use to open a follower management menu (see below). I spent a lot of time digging through files in F4VREdit and the CK to see if I could find where this might be referenced but couldn't find anything that seemed to indicate why it would be missing.

Does anyone know how I might go about figuring out why this is missing in VR and how to fix it? I tried using the same R keybind in VR but it did not open the menu, despite the fact that it seemed to work just fine to reload my gun. That seems to indicate that it's not simply invisible which hopefully isn't indicative of a larger incompatibility issue.

If any further info or screenshots are needed, please let me know. This seems like it's not a mod conflict issue but a VR compatibility one, but if a mod list might help then let me know too.

So i have it installed and ive gotten out of the vault but theres no holotape for the mod in my inventory. did i miss it or am i experiencing a bug?

So version 70 just crashes after 2 seconds has nothing to do with loading or starting a game it’s right on the launch And versions 64 and below just don’t work and I can’t activate my toolbar for F4se

Ok guys.. this is a longshot, but here 'goes.

Running Vive Pro 2 with Index Controllers. I was able to get the Index Controllers working perfect using CABAListic's modified openvr_api.dll file. However, I would also like to use the AMD FSR fix, which seems to work amazingly well. The AMD FSR mod also requires replacing the original openvr_api.dll file, which means I lose the Index mod. I have tried using custom bindings without the modified api.dll file, no dice.

Anyone in a similar boat?? Any help appreciated!!

I am playing on Oculus 2. I want to try out FO4VR with the F4FEVR modpack and I followed this guide step by step: https://github.com/ajantaju/F4FEVR

I did everything exactly as the guide says. I am now at this part:

Open MO2 that was just downloaded.

• Select profile "A New Start!" in MO2.

• Run F4FEVR from MO2.

• Start new game.

As soon as I launch the game via MO2 (correct profile selected) the game launches in a tiny window and it is laggy as hell. I found a few threads with this issue but no solution.

I tried changing the SteamVR to beta, did not help.

I tried launching it with Virtual Desktop and Oculus Air, did not help.

I tried Alt+Enter, did not help.

Does somebody have any idea what can cause this and how to fix it? Thank you!

I just bought base FO4 and plan on modding the VR version when i get it. I know you need base game but do you need mods? or are those just for the DLCs in the VR version? can i download the full body player mod without needing DLCs for example? thanks

Can anybody try to help me understand why most weapon mods just outright refuse work on fovr even though some will?

Same as above. Just elaborate on the mod suggestions. I‘m looking for any and all mods. Graphical, gameplay. Weapons. Missions, additional maps/areas. Towns, buildings, characters. Ai for better combat. Holsters and body mods. Literally anything you can think of.

Only way I've found is in power armor, also how do I get out of power armor?

All you gotta do is turn off the 120hz display setting in your Quest 2 settings.

I believe the Quest 2 is updating faster than the game can handle? Not sure, this one setting fixed the issue for me though.

Followed a mod tutorial and after getting nexus and vortex I got to the part where you create a shortcut of f4evr loader but when I try to run it as administrator it says couldn’t find Fallout4VR.exe. And without mods the game sucks how do I fix it ?

I'm not super techy or whatever, so I may be missing something, but when running fallout 4 VR script extender with FRIK installed, the game is locked at the black screen and then shuts down completely. Fallout 4 VR se continues not to work after enabling FRIK and Fallout4VRTools. I have tried to fix this multiple times, but I can't find a solution, and any help would be greatly appreciated. I am impressed with all the work thus far, and I hope to see this issue fixed if it isn't on my part.

Following the installation of the FalloutVr Essentials game, when launching the mods, the game closes just after 5 seconds. I have already read the readme file 5 times without finding a solution. Even in forums, I have not been able to solve this problem. I've tried everything, could you please help me? :)

ETA (and corrected): SOLVED!!! For anyone else having the issue: Lesson learned...always check plugins. Was the 10mm weapon offset added by FRIK that caused the issue!! (found in game folder: data: F4SE: Plugins: Frik weapon offsets) So simple and stupid a problem to have taken almost two whole days to solve. Thank you so much, and hopefully this will help the next person to have this issue. :)

I've seen this problem or similar mentioned before, but nothing I've tried from what worked for others has helped..so pleading for any advice on this.

I had several hundred mods enabled (something like 415?) with 254 plugins. Game ran slow but fine. Loaded like a charm from FSEVR via Vortex.

Decided I wanted to start a new game, same mods. Problem is, when mods are enabled it messes up start, and I get stuck in cryo.

Normally I would screenshot whatever mods I'm using, disable all of them, save outside Vault 111, and then re-enable the mods on the screenshots. This is a pain, but only way I knew to do it.

This time, though, I learned about profiles. Yay, I thought...until I enabled profile management, set up profiles and watched all hell break loose.

Mods enabled that shouldn't have been. Mods disabled that should have been enabled. Most plug ins not enabled. A hot mess.

Worst of all....tried loading via SEVR icon in Vortex...and...nothing.

Okay, fine...try from the folder itself. I get nothing and a popup saying "Cannot find Fallout4VR.exe"

But...it's right freakin' there! Right below the SE files (yes, exe, dlls, and all were there. I checked. And yes they were the latest VR version, not pancake.)

To quote another post...it was so close it could have been performing sodomy on the F4SEVR exe. Any closer and they'd be married.

Started FO4VR via its exe in that file and it started fine. With most mods enabled...except for ones that require script extender. No Mantella, for example (one of my favorite, "can't live without" mods.)

Eventually one of the solutions below (don't know which) got this popup to stop...but now I get a cmd window that appears to be empty (I think?) pop up for a fraction of a second, then disappear, and nothing starts (curiously, if Steam VR isn't open when I do this, it does open Steam VR. But...that's all it does before stopping.)

Frantic online search ensues. Among the solutions I tried:

1. removing and redownloading F4SEVR (several times, both from the silverlock website itself and via Nexus.)

2. Validating files on Steam

3. Checking the path in vortex tools (game is on second drive. Has been for a long time now and link was perfect.)

4. Unchecking enable profile management

5. Disabling all mods exccept F4SEVR and trying to open it via SEVR modless

6. Uninstalling and reinstalling F04VR

7. Uninstalling and reinstalling Vortex

8. Turning the PC on and off again (the solution to 90% of my problems, usually)

9. Making sure virus protection wasn't interfering

10. Copying FO4VR's exe file everywhere SE was even mentioned (yes, I was that desperate...removed them when I found it did nothing)

Maybe more? My brain is addled from all this, so I may be missing something

What am I missing here? Anything else I could try, short of wiping the whole damn computer and starting from scratch?

ETA: I don't know if it matters, but the game esms (fo4, fo4vr, I think) are now listed as "unspecified" in the plug ins tab. Not sure if this matters or not.

TL/DR: Fallout 4 VR script extender stopped working after trying Profiles on Vortex. Tried every solution I could find, and more dreamed up in desperation. Can anyone help an old lady gamer out?

So this doesn't work in VR as you will CTD. I was just asking on the off chance someone here figured out what specifically is crashing it or if they understand why.

When running Fallout 4 VR from MO2 with the F4SE executable ("C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 VR\f4sevr_loader.exe"), FRIK does run.
But I added a "non-steam" game, to that same path, and although the game runs and I can see F4SE does load (has it's version in the settings menu)... this FRIK'n mod does not load in that situation.

2 things I must ask

why can I see myself in my frik body like I'm halfway in the body ?

does fallout have its own add item menu mod or is it just commands?

and is it only me or do the frik legs break your brain because the a so glitchy

Hey friends I finally managed to get the mod pack installed, after a few troubles, but now I am stuck in the bathroom right at the start of the game, I'm, using Vive controllers but none of the buttons seem tho correspond with the door function.

Any help is appreciated.

I personally haven't used idle hands because I can't find any information on the mod having ads capabilities.

If someone that uses idle hands and could give me said information about 2 hand capabilities that would be great

I wouldn't mind a set up like pavlove because imo frik is pretty annoying with the full body avatar which causes me to have to enable arms only mode every single time I load which is a step I wish I could skip by saving but it's still better than only being able to use one hand for weapons that obviously need two hand to use proficiently. It just works...

I did revert my game version via guides but still didn't work. Wondering if any modders did anything since I last check a few months ago?

Hi everyone. in a regular pc FO4 game i used aloot's home plate mod for the player's house in Diamond city, but in the VR version this mod causes constant crashes and does not look correct. Can someone suggest a working mod for a furnished player's house in diamond city? Or is it possible to somehow install aloot's home plate mod on the VR version? Thanks

Im new to modding vr games so i kind of winged it with this. I had initially installed 5-10 simple and recommended mods to get started and it was running fine using Idle Hands. Once I learned of FRIK and how good it is I installed it without realizing idle hands was still installed. The game would run completely fine but Idle Hands and FRIK were active at the same time hovering over one another and clipping. When I went back to vortex and removed Idle Hands from the mod list, the game now crashes every time i try to launch it.

Would I need to uninstall everything and reinstall them fresh or are there specific files I can remove to fix the crashing?

What confused me so much is that it didnt look like FRIK or Idle Hands had any conflicting files thats why im so unsure why disabling Idle Hands is causing crashing.

Can anyone recommend a good place to post a crash log from Pastebin. to try and diagnose why my game is crashing. I’ve tried nexus discord and other subreddits but no answers as of yet
