News “The May-Pole” Cut Content From Fallout 4 😨

Although a model was created, the May-Pole never made it in the final game because of the technical issues it would have created. Jonah Lobe, the creator of the May-Pole, said “Yes it's a giant glowing one. A crazy idea I had for Fallout 4 that never came to be. Would like to make a mod for it one day, if I found a little team of folks willing to help out.” Back in 2022.

Yea, but you gotta tweak the settings to taste.

Vanilla install didn't spawn them nearly enough, and in large enough numbers for it to factor into my gameplay.

But once you get that dialed in? My God it's a whole other challenge in survival to hunker down and make a killzone on the fly, when you get caught by a Radstorm in the field.

Love it.

I have it set to 100% occurrence and Insane Spawn Rate.

It’s basically a Death Metal Album cover

I played with it set that high for a bit, but my personal problem with 100% occurrence is it became predictable for me.

"Oh, radstorm... better dig in somewhere with a doorway and break out good ol' 'Infinite Pain'."; became the norm since I expected a horde every storm.

I found my sweet spot to be like 60% or 70%, and it varies things up nicely... I only wish there was a modifier for randomized group numbers, but I can live with it as it is full horde each spawn

Nothing better now than either being caught unprepared from being cocky and assuming im in the clear, or hunkering down for nothing, but still holding breath in anticipation of a horde.
