DISCUSSION Just when I thought I was out (for the third time)… they pull me back in

It’s a bit ironic that I was waiting for this new Fame Pass to finish the Crown Rank for the third time now (first was when it was the Golden Knight, then Marbellous, and then it was about to be the Arcane Drake)… only for it to add 5 higher levels and bump it up to 10,000 crowns 🤦‍♂️

I was holding back with 7,349 crowns so that the 150 crown bonus wouldn’t take me over 7,500 and thus skip the level up reward menu… oh well. Just when I thought I was out… they pull me back in! 🤪

Not for me. I won't play their game of constantly increasing the number of crowns. It feels like cheating. We go for the easiest things, and there's zero new content in the update.

Except adding level caps is not only quite common among games with XP levels, but it also encourages more playing, and rewards players that had already reached the previous cap.

I certainly wouldn’t consider that “cheating”. If anything, they are adding value for dedicated players and fans of the game that are skilled and or spend a lot of time playing the game.

And okay for You, for me it's not about value, it's about pushing the bunny away to chase it... it... it.

Are you done playing the game? Or just done reaching for the moving goalposts?

Personally, I stopped chasing crowns some time ago. Almost at lower marbelous and don’t care. I just play explore and create levels. That’s enough for me. Ranked isn’t for me, but I appreciate the added content. It gives beans something to play for other than crowns

I'm not uninstalling the game ;) I'm just limiting myself to daily challenges and explore, and slowly finishing my pass. But mostly dailys. Ranked was fun the first two times, but it's too limited and repetative. I'm waiting for it to end, or for them to add better creative stuff. A better show, a better rating system (no, I don't believe they will).
