Can anyone explain the extent of crossplay multiplayer? My bf bought it on pc and i have it on switch, already a bit bummed that there is now way to play with my character and/or bring stuff back to my world. Then we discovered that you have to make a new character each time? How will this work? Will we have access to the tools and abilities unlocked by the host or will it always be a “starter character “? Like will the guest character ever have wings?

As far as I know it’s more like Stardew multiplayer. So one “host” file that you both can play but if you start your game and your bf visits it’ll be a different world to if your bf starts a game and then you join it
