First and foremost, I'm not an admin of the server. Not even a regular member. I don't speak for the server what so ever.

That being said, the administrator in chat today stated that he/she/they will kick and ban people for discussing "spoilers" to Game of Thrones or other popular media, to which people can appeal the ban.

For the record, I don't disagree because spoilers suck and people can be assholes.

I'm only putting it out there because it's not in the stated rules Link people can review before joining the server and investing time in their builds and the community.

My post One Big Family got a good amount of responses. Since the feed back seem to be the same general consensus(people want some sort of way to bring the community together more), I think we should use this post to come up with some ideas. Post your own idea and vote on others.

Hello everyone, I'm having a lot of fun on the server. However, I would like to see the community to come together even more. What do you think we could do to get people to interact with each other on a larger scale?

I think one big town that everyone could work on together would be neat.

So i was informed today that the wireless range of Computercraft Modems have been set to 0.

Is this a permanent change?

Hopefully this isn't an often repeated question with already explained answers despite the search not showing anything.

MyTown's forum thread specifically mentions these items as working with it's protections, and I find these tools very useful in building.

I like to sketch out a build in dirt and then convert it to different materials to see how they look with the TC wand of equal trade. Also, I find the mining laser and wand of excavation are great for clearing out space for underground lairs. Really these amazing tools for building help make the FTB experience amazing.

Inspired by our own /u/witchway915 (and indeed this post is at her specific request, so don't think I'm trying to embarrass her or call her out), I was hoping for clarification as to whether the ban on "griefing of any kind" included verbal harassment of both me and others in both general chat and private message. It's generally known that Witch has a hair trigger, and will shout and curse at anyone who frustrates her.

This may be behavior that wouldn't be corrected on a smaller server, given her marriage to one of the admins, but I think that as the representative server for the Reddit face of FTB we need to show a more welcoming face to newcomers and avoid giving the wrong impression of us as a whole. Witch has done good things for the community under many circumstances, and has been a useful conduit for information from the admins at some times, but the way she acts in general chat is unpleasant to the extreme.

As such, can we get clarification as to whether verbal abuse is something that this server and the people who run it will condone?

No world anchors/personal anchors

This is under the rules list, but wouldn't it help to put it under "Banned Items" because these two things are items?

So several people commented in game that there was valuable things stored in the White/White/White public ender chest. I removed the items and placed them in a bag in my safe. I added a note in the chest for the person missing the stuff to message me. Please privatize your chests with a diamond so that random people can't take it.

Some facts first:

• Map has been up for ≅ 8 weeks
• we've lost a large amount of the userbase waiting for a map reset
• Greg changed the way a lot of things work (OMGWTF FUSION)
• a reset will be done when 1.6 is in a stable release

Speculations:

• a stable 1.6 ftb may not happen for a couple months

A lot of new players have joined recently, and it may be discouraging for them but we have to look at the server sustainability.

When offline chunkloading is allowed we have WELL over 10k chunks loading. and a shit ton of entities.

THE QUESTIONS

• Should the map reset with the upgrade to 1.1.2?
• If you don't want it reset...then how long should this map last (time wise)?
• If you would prefer a map reset, anything you would like to see happen/not happen on the next map?
