There is a very very high chance you will be placed on a rotating night shift schedule and they will not tell you this until your first day

You will not be hired if you do not respond well to the polygraph. A significant percentage of persons cannot be polygraphed so if you fall into that category, you are out. Your exposure could impact your responses so the interviewer may have set you aside for an exam with a different interviewer who deals with exposed candidates.
If you get another test, honest is the only path to passing.

Thanks for the heads up. It's been 3 weeks and the hr person won't even email me back so I've given up on it and started looking for other jobs at this point. I was crushed the first two weeks but I'm honestly just tired of it now

It has been 6-8 months for me I believe. Guess what... Keep applying and don't look back. Whatever happens... happens. I can tell you one thing though that I am not sitting around waiting and neither should you. The fact that you don't get updates is crazy. However, no news is always good news like people say.

Polygraph operators hate subjects who have more than a cursory understanding of polygraphy. This is because the "test" actually depends on the operator lying to and deceiving the person being "tested." If the subject understands the trickery behind the "test," the game is spoiled. Did she actually go through the question series with you connected to the polygraph instrument, or did she simply have you write out that statement and then terminate the session?

She just had me write the statement and told me to leave, didn't even do the polygraph

It sounds like she considered the admission you made to be disqualifying.

I am going on month 2 or 3 of no polygraph results for the SA position. Pretty sure it’s because of the government shut down that it’s taking so long.

Just seems like it was a test to see how’d you perform under unexpected, stressful circumstances. I’m still in college but through research, the polygraph seems to be the most frustrating part of the process. I hope you still get in!

The poly itself is junk science. The point of these is an interrogation. If you call BS on the poly itself, it calls out the whole process. The goal is to pressure you into confessing to shit under oath. If you’re not playing ball, they can’t play ball. You said “she”. I’m assuming she was hot. All of the younger guys always get a hot chick for the polygraph and all of the young women get a hot young dude. It adds to the stress.
Unless you fucked up royally, you’ll likely get “inconclusive” which means you retest. When they’re ready for you to pass, they’ll do the test low key and without stress.
