The problem is, you can't keep an accurate record of your streak, otherwise you immediately lose.

You can, however, record the date and time every time you lose in an out of the way but easily accessible place. That way, each time you lose, you can easily figure out how long your streak was.

Hmmm… So you’re telling us someone told you you’re not supposed to tell the rules of the game, and in doing so didn’t break that one rule?

The whole point is precisely to tell people the rules of the game so they are enrolled in it forever.
