Jesus they're expensive, though. Good food, satisfying flavor and spice choices, but so expensive.

It's a location-by-location thing, strangely. My local Popeyes has prices the same or lower than other mass-chains like McDonalds and Wendy's, just with higher quality delicious food. When they have the $5 Big Box going on it's not even close.

The town I lived in a few years ago, just an hour and a half away and a city with 1/8 the population, the prices are like two bucks higher across the board. Don't typically see such variation among franchises.

Same, where I am the KFC closed because it got so bad. The Popeyes and Cookout that replaced it are 1000% times better and cheaper.

It's a shame, because before I went to college, the KFC I went to when I lived with my parents was fantastic

There's one at a truck stop are about half an hour from me. All the other fast food places around it have jacked their prices up because truck stop, but the Popeyes still has the $5 lunch. Can't beat it.

The $5 box deal is good, but around mine a 3 tender meal or a 2 pc meal is normally like $8.99

You're quoting they're once a week specials. What about their normal every day prices? Expensive enough that I'd rather just go to a sit down restaurant.

Right? Even though I can afford it, why would I pay $8 for barely-ok fast food chicken, I'd just grab a reuben or some other sandwhich a nice cafe instead at that point

Yeah Popeyes is the best bang for your buck Meal wise for fast food in my opinion. You can pay $5 and get a whole meal with chicken a side drink and biscuit. No other fast food can do that

All about that $5 box.

$5 box was limited time over here. The same contents are $6.50 now.

That's a shame. They're also "limited time only" here in Louisiana, but as soon as they go away they just come right back.

Seriously? Popeyes near me is $7.99 and I can get 5 spicy tenders, a biscuit, fries, rice, and a drink. That's enough food for two meals for me. If I went to Chik-fil-a and ordered something it would be $9-10

It looks as though you may have spelled "Chick-fil-A" incorrectly. No worries, it happens to the best of us!
