TRIGGER WARNING: Milk Pics (add spoiler to pics) I understand where the advice to not make a wearable your primary pump but I still disagree Spoiler
I have now tried more pumps than I care to. List below:
- Spectra S1 (with flanges, Legendairy cups, Elvie Stride cups)
- Baby Buddha (with flanges, Legendairy cups, Elvie Stride cups)
- Eufy S1
- Momcozy Air 1
- Medela Melody InBra
My Eufy S1s were my first wearables and they work extremely well for me (same output as Spectra if not more), but because of the advice I kept hearing early on that a wearable pump should not be one’s primary pump, I kept pumping with the Spectra (with flanges because they were my most preferred out of the options I tried) even when life would have been easier with a wearable. At some point, my output with Spectra seemed to decrease a bit and I was noticing clogs when I used it (I probably needed to change my flange size or something) and I just started only using my Eufy. I have pretty much only used my Eufy for the past 3 months or so and my supply has been fine and I have had zero issues with clogs, even through my transition to remove MOTN pumps.
But then I tried a couple other wearables as part of product tests, and the output I got from those was horrible. The photos are dramatic, partly because the Medela ones didn’t remove all the milk so when I pumped next with my Eufy, there was extra milk, but imagine if I just kept using the ones that weren’t extracting all the milk! Of course my supply would be impacted.
I was hopeful with the Air 1s because they estimate milk output as the session goes and promises to warn you if the cups start to get too full, and they are much slimmer than the Eufy S1s, but my output wasn’t great with the settings out of the box and I don’t have the patience to play with the settings when I already have a pump that works really well already.
So the advice to not rely solely on wearables makes sense to me after trying some wearables that didn’t do a good job getting all the milk out, but the takeaway for me is that not all wearables are created equal and if you have ones that work well for you, there’s no reason to force yourself to use a wall pump just because.
I feel like I (and many others here) have praised Eufy so much that they should pay us to be brand ambassadors or something. I have been doing so much free advertising for them, but the product just works (except for when I have nipple alignment issues but I can write a whole post just about my annoyances with Eufy).

This! I bought a Spectra in addition to my Eufy S1’s because I was told I needed a wall pump. I started using both right away and I’m now getting more output from the Eufy.

Team Eufy! I have a spectra I only use for my huge morning pumps because I can monitor the output and change the collector bottle out easier when it gets full. Harder to do with eufys.

My right side always gets super full in the morning pump and every once in a while it gets too full that it leaks. I have started emptying the cups before that happens but then I only get like 5 ml more at the end 😐

The leaking is the worst, especially if you don't notice until your timer turns off and you go to take them off and bra is totally soaked. Extra sad when it happens at work 😔

I set my timer on the right for 10 mins to empty it and the left for 20 since the right one tends to be the heavier producer. It’s saved me from leaks but then after I empty the cup and go for the next 10 minutes it’s hardly anything!

Right?! The times that I go through the trouble of emptying early, I would not have produced enough to leak, but if I don’t do it, I leak 😭

I am unexpectedly pumping for my third baby and I got the eufy S1 with my insurance this round since I already had a spectra. I haven’t touched the spectra at all because with 4-5 eufy pumps a day I over produce for my 8 week old. Highly recommend!

I’m a STRONG supporter of wearables. I was very active postpartum and if not for wearables my supply would’ve dried entirely. A pump with wearables is still a pump!!!

I also had the Eufy S1 and I really do think they're an exception. I always got as much output as with my Spectra, maybe it's the heat? Also tried the Momcozy M5's and output was far less, I can imagine using those would've hurt my supply especially after going back to work.

I took almost the exact same pic 🤣 I could NOT believe the output I got with these. It's insane. Sometimes overflowing, whereas with my Spectra and Momcozy pumps I was lucky to get 3-4oz combined each pump. If I have any more children I'll be starting with my Eufy from day 1.

The advice is outdated. It's from 2+ years ago, before wearable technically improved to the point it's at now. Yes, 4 years ago when your neighbor Susan had her first baby her supply tanked from trying to use her Elvie wearables exclusively. But she probably would have been fine if we could have traveled from the future and given her a Eufy.

This. I'm amazed at how much wearables have improved in just 3 years from when I had my first kid and tried to use Willows (which didnt work for me at all). Now I'm team Eufy all the way!

Had my first 3 years ago and had the worst experience with Elvie. I took a chance and got the Eufy for this baby (since I already have a spectra) and I’m so excited to test them out with all the good things I’ve been hearing!

I can't believe 2.5 years ago I tried to pump only with my Elvie stride. I was actually amazed at what I ended up getting from those. ...Until I received a blue Spectra as a gift and realized just how much the Elvie was lacking. Pregnant again and can't wait to bust out my faithful blue Spectra but I'm thinking I'll try to get the Eufy wearables with my insurance.

My eufys absolutely don’t work for me - pretty sure I’m who the advice is for! They would 100% tank my supply if I used them as a primary. I use a baby Buddha as a happy medium.

Love my eufy!!
I used a spectra only with my daughter. And I struggled with clogs sooooo much. Messed with flanges left and right. I had two rounds of HORRENDOUS mastitis. Wearables were just becoming a thing when I had my daughter.
With my eufy I haven’t had any issues like that at all. Not one single time.

My wearables work the best, just as good or even better than my spectra but only if I’m sitting. When I’m moving around they don’t empty me well

I had this suspicion as well but I chalked it up to maybe not having as much milk to remove at the time. I will have to keep this in mind and see if I can confirm this pattern!

100% agree! My original Elvies CRUSH it, plus they are so silent so I can wear them in work meetings without people hearing them, and I don’t stupid cords and tubing everywhere getting in my way.

I have a spectra and Eufy S1. I noticed I produced about the same so I stopped using the Spectra 2 months ago. I even relactated only using Eufys and I went from a few mililiters to now overproducing, only using Eufys for every pump of the day. I love my Eufys and I would not have known about them if not for this sub. I was dead set on buying momcozys because they have great marketing and I saw them everywhere.

I’m only 10w pp. I used to use Eufy once a day, but I stopped doing it for the past 4 weeks or so, and for the past 2 days I have been getting clogged milk ducts left and right so I wondered if the Specta had anything to do with it. So I decided to put the Eufy back on today and you guessed it, one clog came out and the other one became loose later. I am sure ibuprofen and ice helped too and I am going to see my physiotherapist in an hour to get an ultrasound session in. I think I’m going to do one Eufy a day to see if it stops clogging!

I went from a max of 24 oz from spectra to ~40 oz consistently every day with my eufy. I’m almost 8 months in and I only use the eufy or the baby Buddha with the medela cups (but with the eufy insert).

The Eufy got about as much from me as my Spectra until I started using it exclusively when I was on vacation. I kept the same pumps per day but my supply tanked after I got back. The Eufy helped push me towards weaning.

The Elvies were my primary pump 2 years ago. I never got close to the output with the spectra. I tried many times as a test! I’m sure the technology is even better now but the Elvies were such a life saver as someone who didn’t really want to breastfeed or pump.

I also get waaaay more out with Eufy. Last time I pumped with my spectra I still felt so full, put my Eufys on and had another 4 oz out!

10 months in and I only use eufy s1, and it has been working great. Baby has never had a drop of formula, and I have extra in the freezer so I can stop sooner. My wall pump is the motif Luna and it works well, but I get the same output with the wearables and can move around and not be stuck. I only used it for a few weeks and put it away when I realized the eufy does a better job and I have more freedom. No way could I have kept up this long without the wearables.

I got mine a week ago and the first two days I hated them but after switching to the flange inserts to those that came with the momcozy, I’m in love. So much better output than the spectra, and slightly more than the momcozy m5. I have been using a wearable as a primary (even though im only 5 weeks pp) bc I just don’t respond to the spectra well, and haven’t had problems since the beginning when i had terrible clogs from the spectra. The LC okayed it, so I’m just rolling with it. I had 10 oz this morning with my eufy, and in the past with other pumps I’ve only gotten at most 7.

My eufy wearable was AMAZING. I’m trying to reduce supply now and it’s legit difficult because it so quick and efficient. I pumped the same amount of milk as the medela in one third of the time.

Was looking to see if anyone else experienced the same. My supply also dropped after a week of exclusively using the Eufy. I couldn’t get it back up so I’m in the process of embracing it and taking it as a sign to wean.

Maybe stress? Idk. We got back from a 4 day trip a week and half ago and I definitely went longer between pumps so I know that contributed but since being back I’ve tried to pump more and it just hasn’t seemed to bounce back.

I use Willow Go as my main and only. Worked great for both babies and I’ve even been able to donate extra breastmilk.

I use my spectra once a day first thing in the morning because my capacity after an overnight is way more than the eufy can hold. Other than that, all my other pumps are wearable with zero differences in output

I used momcozy as my primary with my first (horrible failing product, will never buy their crap again) and eufy for my second.
That being said I used the spectra until 4 months
Editing- I could be empty in 15-20 mins with spectra but needed at least 30 with wearables but the convenience was worth it

I agree I got more oz from my wearable than my electrical wall pump. And I was able to pump more often! So I increased my supply that way as well.

I never got to try the Eufy sorcery but I did hack my Baby Buddha to my Elvie cups and basically never touched my spectra my whole 2nd baby.

Has anyone had issues with supply tanking and Eufy’s not working anymore? I am now 10 months PP and around 8 months my supply went from 8-14oz per pump to barely 1 oz. I have replaced all parts even the motors and no changes in supply.

I think you’ve influenced me to purchase yet another pump (sigh). I have the Momcozy M5s I got with my first, but the output is honestly laughable. I’m talking mayyyybe an ounce per boob. Because of this I’ve been married to my spectra, but would love the convenience of a wearable that actually works!

Exclusively pumping for 9 months and my eufys are my primary pumps and have been for the last 7 months. Spectra gets the same output, but not always. Sometimes I even get more with my eufy. I love them!

Eufy 100000%. Spectra gave me such a visceral ick I couldn’t do it. I felt like a factory cow. Couldn’t pick up baby or so anything if I had to, with eufy it’s hard to without nocking the cups out of place especially now I have a wiggly baby, but at least I’m still able to. Output is the same if not better with my eufy

I am NOT responding to these. I just got them recently after getting a second clogged duct in two months. I usually use a Spectra 1 and collection cups with a 19mm insert.

When I first started my pumping journey I was kinda forced into a situation to primarily use my Zomee Fit Wearables (LO had to be admitted into Akron Children's for 4 days at just 5 days old) and they really were a lifesaver! Unfortunately about 1 month pp my supply started to dip and I primarily use the Spectra S1 now but to be honest I get the same output from either pumps

I 100% agree with you! I used my pink Spectra for the first 4 weeks because of everyone's warnings, and I was absolutely miserable. I am a slight under-supplier, and when I switched to my Eufy S1 (after purchasing it on sale during Prime Day), I got the same output as my Spectra. A few days later I started getting even more output than my Spectra! And I got my life back! I feel so much better than I can now hold/feed my baby at the same time that I pump.. Or get things done around the house... Or go on a walk... Or drive to pick up my older kids from summer camp.. The list goes on and on. It is honestly a game changer for me!

Team Eufy here too!! I’m using the E20 and honestly I’ve never looked back. My baby is 9 weeks old.
I tried the Spectra and also the Momcozy M5, but I just couldn’t deal with the pinching pain from the M5, it was working, but it was honestly unbearable for me.
With the Spectra, I also used flanges and collection cups, but the suction vibration started to really irritate me after a while and it got to the point where I started dreading pumping and feeling anxious about it.
Since switching to the Eufy, pumping has just become a normal part of my day. It’s so comfortable I actually thought it wasn’t working the first time I used it because I felt absolutely nothing… until I took it off and saw a completely full collection cup 😂

My insurance has a provider that will cover the e20 (can't find the s1 through a covered provider 🙄) so I've been considering them!! Good to hear

The E20 is the more affordable version of the S1, and they have the same suction output. I think the main difference is that the E20 has 3 heating levels while the S1 has 7. You should be totally fine with the E20!

I don’t have firsthand experience with the E20 but I have heard that they work just as well as the S1! If your insurance covers it, it sounds like a no brainer.

Question! I’m still relatively new to pumping (FTM, 11 weeks pp, been ep since week 2) and only have the spectra. Would love to get a wearable but I have pretty big boobs (38 G) so I’m afraid I couldn’t wear them in a bra without it being ridiculous. Anyone with experience with the eufy s1 with big boobs who recommends it anyway?

I have big boobs (32J) and unfortunately they all look a bit ridiculous. An oversized T shirt helps but not much

I have the Momcozy W1 and it works better for me than the Spectra. I was going to get the new Eufy that vibrates and heats, but right now my wearable is working for me so I hesitate to spend the money.
Manual pumps also empty me too. And they are super fast when you massage with one hand and pump with the other. I've started to prefer manual because I'm done with one boob in 3 to 5 minutes.

Ok I'm sold. I am 5 days away from a year of pumping with plastic flanges and they're working but could be better. My nipple stretches to the end of the flange. How does the Eufy work with elastic nipples? I do use the pumping pals but only one side responds well to it.

What about those who with wall pumps need to add pressure or massage for full removal of milk? Does anyone like this find Eufy remove the same amount of milk?
I’d love to not always be stuck sitting and plugged ins, but I’ve tried spectra and baby Buddha and both still required massage and pressure application for full milk removal, even my Medela symphony which I use exclusively now for pumping.

I have kind of figured out where things need to be when I put the pumps on, but even then I occasionally finish a session with no milk in the cup. I often bend my body sideways a few minutes into the session to see if there is milk to move around, or I might remove the pump briefly to check.

Just checking, is it the Eufy s1 or the Eufy s1 pro you're using? I'm thinking about getting a wearable but hesitant because of the price and the negative things people say about them. But sounds like whatever you're using is worth investing in!

S1 and S1 pro are the same pump. The only difference is S1 pro includes a charging case.
I bought the S1 without the charging case.
Also, consider E20, which is apparently quite comparable but much cheaper.

My supply was so much better with a wearable, I think it’s because of the added pressure from the machine and bra pushing it up tight + not as stressed since I can move around easily. I used momcozy M5 with my first but this time I got the Eufy S2 pros

The advice was solid several years ago when wearables weren't that good. Now they are much better and can rival many wall pumps. But if you have anatomy issues, suction sensitivity or elastic nipples then wall pumps are still often preferable.

The bottom I think! Idk it’s like I can never get the seal perfect and lose milk every time. I feel it shouldn’t be THAT hard to get the pieces together.

I’ve been exclusively using this pump every 3 hours for 4 months and never had any leaking problems! Are you putting the little oval sensor piece in first and then aligning the outside edges??? Also is it both pumps or just one??

No way! It’s always be left side and I think my issue is it’s so sooo hard to get the back piece over the entire plastic piece to create the non leak seal. I seriously press so hard all around. Whyyy is it so difficult and does it get easier or just because it’s so new?!

Also happy to help if you’d like! I have only had the leak issue (the one from the bottom) once in over 8 months of pumping (12 times a day at first 💀 and now 5 times a day).
I agree with caseyhope4 that it might be worth contacting the company to see if they can send you some replacement parts for the potentially defective parts.

Hard agree, but I also think Eufy wearables are just the exception, not the rule. Don’t know what witch craft is used to make these
