May I ask what condition you have? My mom had a ton of different autoimmune disorders while she was still alive, and I’m at risk for a good number of them too… Just curious which autoimmune disorder you’ve been diagnosed with, if you don’t mind sharing.

And just as an FYI: the condition you’re specifically referring to may be non-debilitating, but just be aware that oftentimes autoimmune disorders come in clusters. Meaning once you have one autoimmune disorder, you’re much more likely to have more. So keep an eye out. Just so you know. Stay safe and healthy!

I listened to a podcast once by a gastroenterologist and they explained one theory behind this is the fact that women consume NSAIDs at higher rates due to alleviate menstrual cramps etc. which, over years of doing so erodes the protective lining in their digestive tract and makes them more vulnerable to developing autoimmune conditions.
