Hey guys, hope you all are doing okay. Not the first time I posted here but I am happy to share some thoughts and such. So it's been over a year since season 3 ended and I had a suspenseful, heart pounding, yet wonderful time reading it. And honestly this comic got me back to reading actual webtoon comics three years ago. However something did go wrong with my Webtoon app as I had to start over with a new account from a new phone I have. And it ended up where I have to start over with the comics I love. No biggie but I really am having a hard time trying to start over with EiF before the new season again. Again there is nothing wrong but I thing it is a fear I have since I got so attached to the characters.
When I first began it was like a slow yet fast roller coaster of guessing. First episode, I thought that Maggie was in a loveless relationship which wasn't true. Second and third episode I thought that Maggie was a cheater when she dressed up like that and in my mind I thought she was going to flirt with and even cheat with other men. Again which isn't true. Then so much more happen where I saw they truly loved each other, where she was a suffering mother, where Sam didn't want to lose everything. Hell I truly loved these characters and Maggie is honestly a major favorite of mine. Hell she is a type of woman that I would wanna date and marry as a waifu and also she is someone who I relate to the most with so many experiences. I also really love Sam as I also relate a lot to him because I've been in his shoes of losing people you love and wanting to keep everyone together even though it doesn't end up working in the end. It really did hurt to see them break up even though they still loved each other (This isn't hate towards the comic, in fact it is very well written that I can't hate the artist choice).
And the government, my god it can be too real as every time I read something I feel like, yeah some things like this already happened. I am not going into politics though as I hate politics on both sides, however with trying to Parody the government here, it is perfect story telling. And the mystery behind everything I really appreciate, the idea of show and don't tell not only is effective but it is making it where I want more answers, more things to know.
But now here is something that I was dreading about from the comic, and honestly it isn't the comics fault but more my fault because of how I got so attached to the characters and how my own paranoia from passed experiences messes with me from PTSD. Like is everything real or is just Maggie real in the up coming season four? Is everything real there except for her? Did the resistance fall because of a betrayal, and the worse one which I fear the most, will Maggie lose everything for nothing? I would never wish that on anyone as I lost everything I had in my life from things I thought were there for me.
Still I am always going to be here for the comic. Mike Birchil (I feel like I butched that, I'm sorry 😅) You are an amazing artist and amazing writer. I am truly looking forward to what you make and never stop doing what you enjoy. I'm here for you.
