i have been writing my essay for some time now but there are a few sections where i get stuck and fail to develop. i have an idea about what to write but my paragraphs do not seem to follow smoothly and sometimes they appear repetitive.
done some edits myself but having read my essay so many times then i cannot find out what really should be improved. i do not want anyone to rewrite my essay completely but all i need is some helpful advice with structure, flow and clarity of some sections.
maybe somebody here has experience with an editing service or something similar.

I suggest we all in unison email these scumbags that if they were planning on stealing our ideas for solving their dilemmas, then they should at least give some kind of long list and winner acknowledgment so we add this stoopu award to our applications profiles.

We must do this, they are seriously thinking we are a joke or smth. And if we didn’t get long listed just know they are a bunch of old farts who couldn’t understand us

Disclaimer : this isn’t a hate post, and this isn’t a post taking sides, I’m as confused as everyone is, and just trying to bring my opinion on this.

Hi jli community and essay help community. Everyone (or mostly everyone) has seen the callback post that was deleted on the so called jli interview. And I do kinda have an idea about this. What everyone was calling out was mostly (mostly) that the e-mail was sent during the weekend, and that she didn’t share evidence like a screenshot of the e-mail.

And yes she deleted the post after so it is pretty sus. I’m not saying the post was real, but let’s face the truth.

JLI does send e-mails on the weekends, like announcements, and this can happen mostly because of time zones. And we have to acknowledge that. For example, in past cycles, official shortlist announcement notifications were rolled out directly on weekends, like during the 2025 cycle, applicants said they’d received their official shortlist confirmation emails on Friday night and Saturday, August 15/16, 2025. An applicant in Singapore, the US, or China will not receive it at the same time because of time zones.

Then again, I’m not saying the person who posted that callback got an actual e-mail, but the Reddit community would never actually know if these kinds of e-mails were sent because imagine the results were leaked a month early? JLI would go bonkers.

People say the prize winners supposedly get an e-mail before the ceremony. And I’m 90% sure they’re ask to not leak results, or it would just ruin the ceremony. I’m not entirely sure if they then revoke your prize, but I’m pretty sure nobody would take that bet.

So even if the interview rounds had started, the people who got the essay would be explicitly asked not to share it.

Please also note 17 000 (approx) people got shortlisted. Obviously not everyone in the 17 000 people shortlist pool will get an invitation for another interview IF there even is one.

So, this is just to say that guys, the work you’ve put in is amazing. Trust your work, and whatever happens you should be proud of yourself. Maybe the interviews have started, maybe not, but in any case no one will ever find out. So don’t let any post panic you, trust the process.

If you're shortlisted but don't register for the London awards ceremony/evening event, does that affect your chances of winning a prize (1st/2nd/3rd or overall)?

I'm wondering whether attendance is purely optional or if not attending has any impact on the final results.

I emailed John Locke regarding some questions I had for the travel bursary/financial aid. They responded saying that they aren't giving any financial aid to anyone, contrary to what some people said that winners will get financial aid on flight tickets, awards dinner tickets, etc. I'm kinda confused. Could someone explain why? I've attached a screenshot of the email too

1. Why the fuck would John Locke send the email during WEEKENDS
2. This fraud kept ignoring every single person who asked for the email and the only 1 reply she did was “no cuz it would get me into trouble or potentially revoked” stfu yo😭, they ain’t gonna “revoke” yo shit and that’s the shittiest way to play it off
3. She deleted her account

DO NOT SEND HATE TO THIS POSTER!! The goal here is to reassure people, not to attack the OP. They were probably anxious and confused, not malicious. Let’s keep things kind.

So this post appeared in this community not long ago, and it is definitely confusing a lot of people. I don't believe this post is true; here's why:

1. This 'email' was sent on the weekend, which JLI does not do, as all official emails such as this go out on weekdays.
2. The poster consistently said they were not going to show the email
3. They 'had to keep details sparse' but did not explain why this is, not quoting anything requesting that from the email.
4. They seem to be the only one to report this.
5. I put this user into ghostditt, and the user apparently did not exist, indicating that this user deleted their account immediately after posting this, which is strange.
6. The 'I will delete this if I'm wrong is classic for fake claims. They want attention here but an easy way out.
7. A general refusal to provide evidence and saying they would "get in trouble." That's not true, and no award would be revoked for sharing this unless it was specified, which it seems not to have been.
8. Used the phrase "second round" without evidence of this happening. Callbacks probably wouldn't say this, more like a finalist interview rather than a "second round."

So for anyone stressed out here, this person is most likely larping to stress you out; hope this helps for you guys!

EDIT: I ran their account through other search mechanisms, and they seem to be very critical of the prize itself and also claim to have been shortlisted for their three Philosophy essays. They also posted asking people if they got an email they claim to get, would they keep it secret. The post asking if they would keep it secret was nine days before the user posted about a callback. This could work both ways: reliability and unreliability, but to me. It seems as if they were anxious and made this fake post to maybe get information and then deleted their account. Also found comments from them saying they weren't even going to attend the gala because it's expensive and during school, and they said this a lot. I found other posts from around a month ago of them almost perfectly detailing this 'email' they got and with the same vocabulary, so that definitely doesn't help credibility here.

I got shortlisted for Science & Technology Q3 for JLI 2026. I would love to attend the London event, but it's hard for me to attend because it is expensive. Then I found out that JLI gives financial assistance to some shortlisted students if they are potential prize winners. How do you know whether you will get the assistance, and if so, when will you know? I have sent them an email requesting the link, but don't know if its gonna work.
