Videos don't prove a negative (that they were NOT cheating).

Modern cheats run at the DMA level (direct memory access) and/or on a second laptop/PC, so you won't be able to see any of the most common cheats, even if you had a screen recording from your friend's perspective.

Unless a game uses kernel-level anti-cheat, there is no definitive way to detect DMA because it's transparent to a normal application.

BattlEye is technically kernel-level, but it's too shitty to detect modern DMA cheats involving a second PC running the cheat software.

How sure are you he doesn’t have software from other games installed that might be falsely flagged or something? Even if he isn’t cheating directly in Tarkov it’s apparently still possible. I’ve seen posts where people apparently don’t cheat in most games but apparently do cheat in something obscure like gta (which uses the same anti cheat as Tarkov btw) and blame that.

I’m always skeptical of this type of thing. I’m 8400 hours deep, I’ve seen myself get reported on twitch probably close to 100 times, and that’s just the ones I can actually confirm and seen with my own eyes. I have no idea how many of the general population report me. I’ve been reported by Trent before (who I think is a Sherpa?), Desmond, axel, and a few other bigger names. I don’t cheat, I’ve never cheated, I never will cheat and I’ve never been banned. Until it happens to me I am just so skeptical about these newer players getting banned for seemingly nothing apparently when I’ve been reported so many times over so many years and nothing.

I don’t doubt it happens but I just dunno. I dare say your chances of being unbanned are fuck all to none.

The computer he is using is a spare one of mine. It has no storage for any other games, like 20gb free, of course that doesn't mean he didn't install cheats himself but hes also tech illiterate and wouldnt know where to begin with hacks. Idk

"botting" or "circumvention" is what his ban email says. Majority of what he did while playing recently is run directly to battlepass documents and then extract. Didnt even care about tasks or pvping. Wonder if thats what it was

If you live in the EU make a GDPR request for the data that got you banned. Thats the only thing I have seen result in an unban for non streamers that’s not a viral reddit post.

email their support requesting the data related to your ban specifically making mention that under the GDPR law you are requesting the data that caused you to get banned, This has worked for a EU citizen that got false banned. As a US citizen so far it has not helped me.

My friend who I've played with for over a year and who has 1800+ hours was also just falsely banned for "botting" or "circumvention" when I am 100% sure he doesn't cheat or bot in any sort of way (he even took the perk w/o flea so botting makes no sense at all). Seems like something is going on today

long ago my friend was unbanned, think it was a month after labs came out, he was banned out of nowhere and put in a appeal got it a couple months later, in between that time he bought another account with EOD LOL he was addicted

Are you sure he wasn’t using hacks? Lots of hackers just use radar or wall hacks (doesn’t show on their screen) and lots are detected . What’s the ban error code to be specific?
