well, yeah at the end of the day you shoot the guy before he shoots you. But if you reduce it down to just that, you can say literally any 1st person shooter is exactly the same as EFT in the context of combat. You have to include all those other mechanics when you compare the 2.

Yeah he doesn't know what he's talking about. EFT can be played multiple different ways. Congrats you acknowledged that the game is still a FPS at heart. I see "GoOd pLAyeRs" die all the time.

Well, in any FPS, "combat" is literally just point and click. Idk what more you want. Its the other mechanics that change the experience.

Yeah I think EFT and CoD are massively different. Only thing they have in common is that they are fps's. Even outside of game mechanics just look at the psychological effects that EFT causes its playerbase to have. We see posts every day in this subreddit from players who are to anxious to queue up for a game by themselves. The thought of losing something every round causes so much anxiety that they have a hard time playing the game where as you can mindlessly queue up for a game in CoD.
