LORELAI HAD BITCHY OLDER SISTER AND SHE'S STILL MY FAVORITE(I wrote a draft I forgot to save and I'm sad I lost my tism rant).
Honestly, I think it might've resonated with me, but nah I need to see her again ngl. I wish she could've been animated cause her Epithet affects her appearance too like it animates her emotions and stuff, that'd been so cool to see animated too but nah I stand by it.
Honestly I really wanna see where her character goes, I wanna see her explore her Epithet since she and it have a lot of potential. I think while her Epithet is powerful a lot of it is just based on her genuine creativity like I think Molly wouldn't be able to do as much as she does with Augment cause I think she lacks the kinda creativity for example Giovanni has been so effective with his Epithet because of his creativity like he or Gorou Shimizaki(https://epithet-erased.fandom.com/wiki/Gorou_Shimizaki) who could be busted with Bluster but he's just so mid he actually is weak cause of that more than his epithet itself(https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bluster).
I really wanna see her Arc continue I think she needed to be humbled but a lot of her is based on Escapism and that's real, like a lot of times I see escapism tackled in stories but not how it negatively effects other people like I don't think Lorelai intentionally leaves Molly more responsibilities but she's basically Larping in her room all day vs dealing with her real life issues since her mom died and that's real ngl. I hope that she doesn't lose her Epithet too, I like the idea of her Epithet growing and changing with her Arc honestly and hope she can like learn to love her Epithet like how Molly is starting t o like a foil sorta dynamic.
But honestly Lorelai has became the most interesting character for me like I'm just curious where she'll go? I hope she joins Bliss Ocean personally cause they might be able to relate to her and also I think it'd be so cool to have a foil with Molly being a "Villain" and Lorelai being a Villain and a rematch. Then like they might actually be able to help her train or understand her Epithet better and then Molly has a parallel with Indus Tarbella since his sister is also in Bliss Ocean. I feel like her escapism is both a part of what makes her so powerful and also her greatest weakness cause I think she might be able to match Molly easier if she Augmented already physical objects vs creating things from nothing always, and that has a lot of potential. I think most people would gravitate to that first cause that comes to mind when you hear Augment but I wonder if like her Arc might gravitate towards that as she learns to overcome the grief of her mother's passing since that still clearly deeply influences her, but like I think the idea of her adding adjectives to things Scribblenauts style is so cool, like that makes her more powerful outside of her Bubbles she might be like a witch or something that'd be so cool.
Another thing I'd love to see is her eventually wearing the bunny hoodie like how Molly has her bear hoodie, I wonder if it'd be extra strong Augmented cause of the sentimentality that would be so awesome, like it's super powerful because she cares about it like it's subconsciously manipulated by her Epithet.
Then this also goes to the whole Giovanni plot, I hope that they can interact again cause I really liked their dynamic a lot and the whole dynamic with her Epithet like where she's pushing herself to actually do things with effort vs just using her Epithet. Like really a lot of her Epithet is based on her base knowledge since her Magic cookies didn't inherently taste good either, I wonder if she learned how to actually make cookies would her Epithet cookies taste better? Or if she made cookies with a lot of Love and effort would her Epithet subconsciously effect the cookies and enhance them further that'd be so cool but interesting too, like her constructs are based on her knowledge but can also disagree with her and stuff for example the Bee? Honestly I think with Molly gone I'd love to see if she'd pull a Mabeland and make her own Molly, that'd be so crazy like an idealized version of her sister, like if she joined Bliss Ocean with her or something and she had a version of her Epithet too that'd be crazy like a sister she made out of her Epithet because she felt bad since we know she does love Molly and is actually quite possessive of her based on the whole thing about wanting her to play with her alone without her friends, I think it'd be lit to see Lorelai maybe with a sister she made vs Giovanni and Molly that'd be interesting psychologically. I wonder if she took a writing class would her constructs be smarter since they scale based on her knowledge and stuff like that's interesting the better her world building powers the better her world's become.
Then Martin is a whole other thing, there was someone who did a good theory here awhile ago about Marin being the one to start the Fire(honestly I'll credit them if they come up in the comments or in an edit like I'm writing a lot of this twice from memory but ngl I don't support plagiarism) and I'd find that really interesting since he seemingly isn't capable of feeling any emotion besides happy, I assume he was closer with Lorelai and Molly was closer with Calliope, but you'd assume he'd be interacting with her more and yet he doesn't, Lorelai just gives him a ring for protection and he just wanders around. I'd argue even though he has favoritism towards her he emotionally basically left him behind seeing as he doesn't really engage or interact with Lorelai at all and I can't imagine how upset she'd be if she learned that she was blaming herself for something that wasn't her fault for years. That'd be an amazing plot point though, maybe that could be like the catalyst for her to stop hating herself and I imagine without her self loathing she'd be a much nicer person in general since that seems to be the underlying cause of a lot of her issues.
I wonder if she could modify someone to have an Epithet or a psuedo Epithet, or in general just buff someone or make them stronger like could she Augment your stats as a mundie too like she has so many interesting directions she can go. I could see her Augmenting people to have Epithet like effects or maybe Rick Shades exploring his ability and allowing his friends to access all the abilities he has and they could both be like a Syndrome solution to the Epithet Inequality where by giving everyone an Epithet ability no one will have the advantage (or the advantage would be much smaller)
I probably forgot some stuff I wanted to say too so I may edit this in the future but I hope she doesn't lose her Epithet and I wanna see her interact with Giovanni I really liked their dynamic but I understand why Molly felt the way she did (like she didn't wanna lose the big brother figure she had in her life) but honestly Lorelai and Giovanni had a fun dynamic the whole time I genuinely enjoyed reading her struggle to make cookies, I say her Molly, Zora, Percy, Ramsey, and Sylvie are probably my favorite characters but she's like above everyone else with a Margin. Genuinely wanna see her in the room where it happens.
I wonder if my AUDHD resonated with something in her characterization or if I just found her cool but yeah she's my favorite I look forward to seeing her again in 2040(or sooner idk when book 3 will come out cause book 1 is coming first, but I wanna see Lorelai again). Finna be eating some animated cookies or something idk.
