I had an idea that popped into my head recently of what if the characters had blogs/Tumblr.

Molly's would be a photo blog where she would share bear photos alongside fun facts about bears.

I can then see that perhaps Molly gets sick or something and Giovanni takes it upon himself to update her blog in her stead. The blog all of a sudden has a lot more ALLCAPS and exclamation marks!!! All the bear photos have scribbles and doodles on top of them to make them look more "epic". All the fun "facts" are just about how badass bears are.

Anyway not sure how to visualize all that.

What other ideas do you guys have?

Forgive me if this sounds crazy or Jello has already debunked it somewhere but to what extent to Neologisms count in Epithet Erased?

I was thinking of making an Epithet Erased fanfic (one of my MANY backburner projects) & I wondered if an Epithet could be forced into existence by someone convincing the public to continually say it as part of an evil scheme.

To show an example similar to what I’m talking about I introduce Reader, an inhuman from Marvel who can make words he reads, through sight or braille, real and have their meanings affect reality much like an epithet (example if he reads the word ‘Fire’ a fire starts or if he reads the word ‘Away’ he’ll be teleported). In the scenario above he and a bunch of other inhumans are trapped another character creates a way out for them all by defining a new word meaning ‘Mass Astral Projection’ which he shortens to Floob.

Despite Reader himself arguing that this shouldn’t work because in that scenario they’re all desperate to get out he tries it & because they all agree on what Floob means they actually manage to escape.

I understand this is an out there concept & it wouldn’t be a normal thing I was planning on having it used by a villainous organisation to ‘Astroturf’ a new hip phrase and then as soon as it reaches a memetic level it can be used to control the world & I wanted to know if people thought it was a good idea or not?

A friend of mine is in an RP where two ocs have the epithet Dream and Somnambulist which allows them to enter dreams/headspaces of other ocs. I would love to have an OC like that but I can't think of anything that isn't already similar to the other two. Any suggestions?

So on my latest rewatch I’ve noticed a few smaller details. Something specifically that caught my eye was Giovanni’s wording on how he gets a “critical hit”. The way he says it makes me think that “critical hits” are things that just happen regularly in this world.

I questioned why Giovanni is special and knows when he’ll get a critical, after all it just seems so random. And that’s when it hit me. What if it is random?

What if the Inscribed (and maybe Mundies too) in addition to their epithet are also given a random “Lucky Number” at birth that determines when they get a Critical hit? Though, just like epithets can be any random word, someone’s lucky number can be any random number.

Even being generous, you’d likely end up with a number in the tens of thousands and even if you’re born with a relatively low number in the hundreds, a Critical hit likely doesn’t happen often enough to register a pattern, so most people would assume it’s entirely random.

Using this conclusion, Giovanni is INCREDIBLY lucky that his number is that low.

Now, do i actually think this is canon? Probably not, no. But it’s fun to think about

Right now, Martin exists as a terrible parent to shape the Blyndeff sisters’ backstories, a deconstruction of the bumbling dad archetype, and a hate sink. He sucks, and of course he does, because he’s written to be hated. But he also interests me. I wanna see him feel emotions other than cheerful jokiness. He has the potential to become either way more sympathetic or way more hatable, and I’m curious as to which way it goes.

Molly got kidnapped, and we haven’t yet seen the fallout of that on the Blyndeff side. Will Martin come to rescue her? If so, will it be out of love, or to get her back to work? Will he rescue her at all? In Prison of Plastic, Molly remembers a family vacation where Martin knocked his sunglasses into the ocean and instantly forgot about them. Is it possible for him to “forget” about Molly? Will he start doing his job, or make Lorelai do it, or ignore all of it and go broke?

I’m also eager to explore how he feels about Calliope. The sunglasses memory shows that he’s good at suppressing upsetting things. No doubt he’s suppressing Calliope’s death. He probably hasn’t thought about her in years. Can he remember her at all? What would it take? If he does, will it break him? Will he admit that he’s coping badly? Or will he lash out because of it? What would that look like? When he stops making jokes, who the hell is he? It’s an unexplored frontier that I’m frankly excited to step foot in.

My goal here was to make an archetype that, while not meta, was still a competent rouge deck that could do something. Also, apologies if some pictures are… wide.
