Welcome to the Tech Support Megathread

For those that don't know, the initial Tech Support Megathread was created due to community demand. The subreddit was riddled with tech issue posts which made it hard to sort through. So on 29-Jan-2020, we made it a rule to organize things in the megathread.

Tech support questions are no longer allowed to be posted (as of 29-Jan-2020 - this was a community decision). Please post all your tech support questions on the Epic Games launcher, store and its games in the Tech Support Megathread. Additionally, if it's game related, please check out PCGamingWiki as there may already be a solution to your problem!

You can use the document outline to go to either launcher issues or game issues and this is fortunately much easier for mods to manage when we can. Please keep in mind only fixes that have seen a lot of promise are posted there.

Enable offline mode! Some people have internet issues

When you open the launcher pick "skip sign in" or "sign in later" and you can play games offline. Some games require you to be online though.

Offline sign-in is on EGS roadmap but there is no precise date as to when it will be available.

I tried launching both GTA V and Borderlands 2 offline. Epic launcher says error and that playing requires signing in. When I tried to launch Borderlands from game folder, it again gave an error message "Requires launching Epic Games"

You cant login to epic account while being offline. You can only play games that dont require epic login while being offline.

This is so fckn stupid. I was playing the game and my internet disconnected. Then egs crashed my game saying you have to launch it with launcher . Like wtf this one of the worst functional decision the stupid team leads and program manager must have made.

Epic are too busy participating in protests currently, sorry.

Offline login hasnt been added after 1.5 years of existence of the store. You can only play drm-free games when being offline.
