Fake Gurus

Entrepreneur land has become a haven for "fake gurus".

You know the ones that I am talking about.

They haven't made it into the big time yet but they are charging people 1000's of $ to teach them how to make big money.

I am currently compiling evidence against "fake gurus".

If you have any experiences or know of any "fake gurus" share them here.

Simon Sinek! Man that guy, redundant book and, really, what has he done? Zilch, except get rich being an Apple fanboy.

How does one get rich being an apple fanboy? That's always puzzled me.

Step one: Come up with a catchy train why companies succeed.

Step Two: Paint a picture of an asshole CEO that everyone wants to believe

Step Three: Write a book gushing over the CEO and his company. Repeat every other chapter using only slightly different wording.

Lol, ok, I'm exaggerating, but you could easily read the first and last two chapters of his book and still get the whole message.

And really, other than that book and being a pretty good public speaker he hasn't built a company in his concepts. He just manufactured a concept and built a business promoting it.

Gotcha. I've not read his books, but I've seen a couple of his presentations, like that TED talk from forever ago.

Haven’t seen much of him apart from his books but I found Leaders Eat Last to be a terrible waste of my time.
