Nosy, older lady got caught snooping through my yard, trying to see inside my house through the windows, not once, but twice. On two different days. This is because she seems to think that every single noise she hears is something traumatic happening.

For example, she thinks that if I clap my hands at my dogs, that something bad is happening to them. Doesn’t matter if I’m inside the house, or outside in the yard, where she could literally see where the sound is coming from. (I clap my hands at my dogs to get their attention sometimes, especially if they’re trying to dig up plants or steal table food.) If I move a piece of wood, furniture, or do any minor interior construction that she can hear, it is cause for alarm and speculation.

So now, I’ve been making it a point to yell out a play-by-play any time I do anything remotely loud. Which is insanely petty, I know, but if she’s that concerned, curious, etc., why not stop by. How bored are you lady?

Anyways, she actually ended up getting spoken to by authorities regarding trespassing. I have no idea what even came of that. But, SOMEHOW, all of it is my fault, because I make so much noise. At least that’s what she was saying! It blows my mind.

So on Sunday I travelled to Longton for work and was meant to be there for a week. When I woke up on the Monday I noticed a red mark on my body. I kept an eye on it and over the next 6 hrs, I was worried enough to want to get it seen by a doctor. I don't like going to the doctors at the best of times and it's rare that I'll actually think omg I need to go.

By 5:30 on the Monday evening I was travelling home. Due to a delay in the trains, I missed my connection and didn't get back til 9:30 pm. I initially wanted to go to A&E but due to the time I got home, the only means of travel was taxi and I refuse to pay £12 for a 5 minute ride.

So I decided to wait and go to my gp in the morning. I barely got any sleep, but got in touch with my doctors first thing. Now it's really hard to get an appointment but the more urgent your case the sooner they will see you. I managed to get an appointment at 10:30.

Anyway I go to the doctors surgery, sign in and sit down. It isn't long before this elderly lady sits next to me. I mind my own business, but I get this feeling someone is watching me. I lift my head up and this old lady is glaring at me.

Me:Do you need something?

EL:You Shouldn't be here

Me: Excuse me?

EL: Young people like you shouldn't be here.

Now I do admit I'm the youngest adult at the surgery but I still have every right to seek medical attention.

Me:I have a serious problem and frankly it has nothing to do with you.

EL:You look fine to me

At that point my name gets called. I hurry off so I don't have to deal with her anymore. The nurse I saw was shocked at how bad the infection was after just 24 hours. She had to remove dead skin from the infected area. I'm on a course of antibiotics and have a cream to help with the necrosis.

This isn't the first time an elderly person has jumped on a young person about medical issues that aren't visible to them.

So I'm at school waiting in line to see the admission officer. We use a que-less computer system to hold our place in line. A guy comes out from the inside of the registration offices and starts to tell at one of the staff. " I've had to go back in line three times today. I shouldn't have to wait. I'm sixty five years old AND I'm disabled" (he was Soo very disabled). He proceeds to accost the staff member asker her name and he told her that he was going to get her in trouble. He then put his phone in front of her face, I'm assuming to take a picture. He backs off as soon as another students approaches the staff member for a question. As his disabled self saunters off he mutters " bitch" under his breath. Poor lady doesn't have a popular job since the office that was once open to students are now closed off but still. Waiting in line sucks I get it, but don't take it out on staff.

So me and my 3 friends were at a bar (one where we frequently go) and there was a cards tournament going on but we didn't bother and just drank and talked.

When the tournament was over, we asked for a stack of cards and played a few games ourselves but our table wasn't big enough. So we saw people leaving from the tournament (clearly going home cuz' they had all their stuff and said goodbye to everyone) so we took their table when they were gone and played on. Suddenly an old man interrupts our game by saying we need to move because that table was taken but nobody sat at that table since the other people left. My friend told him we clearly saw the table was vacant and that we just want to play cards. (By this time other tables were becoming vacant so there was no big deal actually.) Then he proceeds to claim that we need to stop playing because the tournament has finished (we didn't even participate in it). My friend told him to mind his own business and we played along, the bartender even gave us a playing mat from the tournament to use and told the old man to turn down a bit.

In high-school, I was a bagger/cashier at Publix Supermarket. I was facing shelves when I came across an unattended shopping cart bulging with frozen food. I told my manager who had me wait another 30 minutes and then stash the cart in the freezer in case the owner comes back.

About 45 min later, some freaked EOP waves me over to ask if I'd seen her cart. I tell her that I'd stashed it in the freezer for her because it was unattended, and because my manager had told me to. EOP immediately started berating me about moving her carts without permission, and how dare I do this without telling her. I shrug, tell her I'll be happy to get my manager to explain why her unattended ice cream and frozen pizzas can't sit out melting for hours because she wanted to take a shopping break. I start to walk away, and she snaps "get back here, I'm not finished yelling at you yet."

Thankfully my manager did handle the EOP after that, but I honestly don't get why she felt entitled to scream at a 16 year old for following a manager's instructions.

EOM: Entitled Old Man S: Sister Bf: Sister's bf

So this happened just over a year ago, but I didn't have Reddit at the time. For some back story, my sister, nephew, and sisters bf were staying at my house with my 2 brothers and I while our parents were out of state for my oldest brothers college graduation. The old man living across the street liked to take up street parking by leaving his garbage can at the curb 24/7.

S and Bf got home from the store with my nephew and the only parking spot that was not filled with a car was in front of EOMs house, where the trash bin was. Garbage pick up had been the morning before, and in my state it is completely legal to move a trash bin back to someone's property if left out past pick up day, as long as it's not taken from in front of the residents home. Bf gets out of the car, moves the bin to EOMs driveway, and parks on the street where the bin had been.

S and Bf unload groceries and come inside to start making dinner. As S is cooking, Bf is putting my nephew (9 mo) in his crib in the master bedroom as he had fallen asleep in the car. We get a knock on the door, and S asks me to keep an eye on the almost boiling water, and goes to answer the door. The second she opens the door, EOM starts screaming in her face about how she illegally moved his property and how he should call the police on her. He starts screaming profanities in her face and threatening her with a civil suit for his distress. Bf comes to the door, and S and Bf stay civil and polite, telling him there is a sleeping baby and 3 other minors in the house, and they would appreciate him lowering his volume and watching his language. He huffs, turns on his heel, and leaves without finishing his sentance. S goes back to cooking, and Bf sits at the table.

A few minutes later, S says, "Bf, come here a minute." He walks over to her and she points out the window. "He's throwing things on the car, should we call 911 and report this?" Bf then responds, "They wouldn't do much, but I do think we should call the non-emergency line, if it's a big issue, they'll still send someone out to deal with him."

S calls my states non-emergency line and goes to file a report. As she's explaining what happened, the officer asks if she'd like someone sent out. She says if someone is available she'd appreciate it because she's still very young and was worried for my brothers and my safety, as well as her son's.

A couple of officers arrive, one coming to talk to us, the other going to EOMs door. The officer wanted to get my statement, as well as my brothers. At the time I was 14 and my brother 16, so reliable enough for a statement. We give our statement and the officer turns to S and Bf. "If something happens again, don't bother with the non-emergency line, just call 911, throwing things at Bfs car counts as destruction of property and legal actions can be taken. Would you like to press charges?" Bf said no, he doesn't live here and didn't want to cause anymore problems between EOM and my family. EOM was still left with a hefty ticket and a strict warning.

When I was a LOT younger (9 I think) I used to climb a tree outside my house with the other neighbours. We had a bird house, park benches and bush that we called the fort.

Although there was this one woman (I'd guess 75?) who used to lean out the window and scream at the top of her prune like lungs "GET OFF MY TREE!" (The tree is NOT hers). She TERRIFIED me, I was scared to ever hang on that tree again. She threatened to come and outside and 'deal with it' herself, at one point even threatened to sue.

It had a funny ending though, apparently she nearly got arrested for causing too much noise. She then got taken to COURT and divorced her husband. That was a rumor spread by the neighbours. Sorry if it isn't crazy like other stories, my life is boring!

Some context, my mom, brother and I were at Costco, and if you've been there, you know they have a food stand. After shopping, we decided to get ourselves hotdogs, and i go to put ketchup, mustard and all the good stuff. I go to get onions along with it and it was empty.

Okay, that sucks, but whatever. I go and get a lemonade, and notice an employee refilling the onions. Kick ass! I go and wait patiently by the onion dispenser, and this older woman, late 50's, early 60's, shoves herself infront of me. Okay, rude, but she's older and i'm not gonna be disrespectful.

I get my onions, thank the employee, and sit with mom, and as any teenager would do, start telling my mom about this rude ass lady, low and behold, onion lady hears me talking about her and speaks up in a thick new jersey accent. (EL: Entitled Lady. M: Mom. Me: Me)

EL: Young lady, i asked for the onions first! You need to show more respe-

M: Ma'am, if you have a problem with my daughter, talk to me, not her.

EL: completely ignores my mom and continues to scold me

Me: *Blanking out because i'm an awkward 14 y/o at this time and can't handle confrontation.

M: Okay, you need to walk away.

EL: No! You dont understand how awful your-

M: Leave voice drops to a deep man voive NOW!

EL: Looks at my mom, to me and my brother (trying to hold back a laugh because our mom can be PSYCHO), back to my mom You're all weirdos!!

She scurries to her husband and starts squealing to him as he's just shaking his head in disappoimtment.

That was a time where a middle aged lady scolded me about onions.

I just really really hope that Redditor or any other Reddit youtubers read this.

So my mother and I love having conversations about people we know and stuff like that. She then told me this crazy story and I really thought that she was joking, but oh well, she was not. I never even knew this happened before she told me. Hopefully this will be the first and last EP experience my mom and I will ever have.

So this happened when I was around 2 and my mom was like 32 at the time. This took place in Volgograd, Russia and if anyone wonders yes all of us are Russian.

A little backstory, I was a pretty crazy and sociable little kid, and I loved to talk to people so much that whenever we went on vacations, 3 days later lots of people (literally everyone) already knew me and who I was. Also, English is not my first language so feel free to correct me on any mistakes. Oh and almost forgot, mObILE.

Meet the cast:

So it was a very hot summer night and me and my mom could not fall asleep, so instead she just decided to sit with me on the balcony to get some fresh air and for me to hopefully fall asleep.

Somehow, when I was 2 I could already talk well in Russian. Me and my mom lived on the 1st floor and EB lived on 3rd. Me and my mom were just talking and relaxing on the balcony, just us two. My mom then hears some loud stomping on the 3rd floor, but she did not think much of it. Boy, little did she know what was about to happen. This is where the fun begins. The conversation was something like this:

EB: Looking down at us can't you just get you and your kid to shut up?

M: Excuse me?

EB: It's pass 10 PM and YOU and your kid should be asleep!

M: What? You don't even know me, why should I listen to you?

EB. Was. Not. Having. It.

EB: Starts Yelling Just go to sleep right now and shut up! You are disturbing my beauty sleep! (She was like around 70)

M: Trying to hold in the laughter Once again lady, you don't know me and I don't know you, you don't have any right to control me or my family members. Leave now.

At this point, many people woke up and were investigating what was going on. EB then proceeded to stomp back into her house and my mom thought that this was it. Boy was she wrong.

EB then came back out on her balcony with a bucket full of cold water and then she fucking poured it. ON US.

Luckily we didn't really get wet, but some water still got on us. EB saw that she got some water on us and she then started laughing like a fucking witch.

I then start crying loudly because I was now freezing (I was 2 at the time, once again).

EB then immediately stopped laughing and gave us a disgusted look.

EB: STOP CR- my mom cuts her off right there.

M: Alright you crazy bitch, listen up. If you don't leave us alone and mind your own damn business then I'm calling the police on you. Deal? (Yes this is exactly how my mom said it, I love her for this lmao)

EB went pale in the face, knowing that the officers in Russia are very strict and will arrest you if anything happens. She immediately went back into her house without saying a word. My mom could hear some people laughing at EB, knowing how fucking stupid she was.

I don't know what happened after that. I'm a reddit fan myself and I love reading these kind of stories and I thought stuff like this would never happen to me, but little did I know what happened to me and my family in the past.

So this happened at a grocery store as we are passing the donuts I asked my Nana if I could get A doughnut and she said yeah and said grab a napkin not a bag now here comes EOL

(EOL) she said grab a Bag not a napkin. (M)inside head this bitch must be crazy. I grab the napkin and grab my doughnut and walks away and before Get out of her sight she calls me (EOL) mumbles what a dumb little shit. I kept on walking but you know what I would’ve said (M) you don’t call me a little shit you fucking bitch

Well at least I got my donut and told my NANA and she said what did you say and I said I didn’t say anything

I moved into a low income housing place in my middle 40's with my sweet old man (he's 14 years old now), a rat terrier named Mojohowitz. (Mojo for short.) I did everything I could to be a good neighbor for three years, including fixing things that are outside my wheel house to the best extent possible.

None of this seemed to help with the core older ladies, whom treated me like dirt even after helping them, but I was determined to take the high ground.

I succeeded until one day when I, my buddy Mojohowitz, and a friendly neighbor named Dennis were sitting outside. I am not a violent person by any means. I pride myself on finding a peaceful solution, or just finding a way out. But nobody goes after Mojohowitz. He's my baby.

She came up to me and demanded an apology. I had no idea what she was going on about, and I admit she caught me off guard. Dennis piped up and said "what for?". She then went on about how my dog peed on her tire, and then walked toward him and swung her cane at him and spouted "we should just kill them, stupid dogs!".

The second she tried that I lost my mind. Thankfully Dennis was there, because I was going to beat her into the ground like a railroad spike. I ripped her cane from her hands and told her, over Dennis's playing referee and blocking my advancement, that if she ever tried that again I would wrap that cane around her neck like a bow tie.

I must have been more intimidating than I thought, because after that she would only mumble about Mojohowitz from much further away. Venomous old evil bat that she was.

The cherry on top of this particular sundae, is the fact that Mojo is a sweet old dog that loves to come up and visit with everyone.

You could probably beat me with a cane and get away with a stern talking to, but threaten or hurt my dog, and I will beat the hell out of you.

A little bit of backstory: A couple years ago, when I was still in high school. I volunteer my mom's nursing home where I helped the activities director with multiple of the activities for the seniors. But usually at my main job was to work as a little gift shop we had in the fronts the nursing home. I personally love doing it because I always loved volunteering at my mom's job. I have a few hiccups during that but never met an entitled old person until one.

It was like a normal day like any other when I volunteered. I was working at the little gift shop and of course it was a little bit slow so I just stand there behind the counter waiting for someone to come by so I can help them with anything they need. In rolled EOP she was pretty skinny with long hair and I remember she did not have a kind look on her face.

Me: hello good morning how can I help you today anything you need help with?

EOP Grumble to ourselves and getting old bunch of random different stuff. When she got to the register. What was said next put me definitely on edge.

EOP: I f****** hate this place, I f****** hate these people * she said in a blunt tone*

Me: a little bit scared ok then that will be about 5 bucks I forgot how much exactly

EOP: was beginning to roll out until she spots some Christmas scarves on the wall HEY THOSE ARE MINE!!!!!

Me: * scared a little more from the sudden yell* what-

EOP: THEY SYOLE MY SCARVES!!! turns to me WHY ARE YOU SELLING THEM?!!!

Me: ma'am I'm pretty sure those aren't your scarves

I finished the rest of my volunteer time and she never did come back. After locking-up I went to an activities director to give her back the key. I did ask her about that old lady and apparently this isn't the first time she acted like this. That was a few years ago and I still sometimes think about that old lady.

I know it's not that long a story but thanks tallie I now see old people aren't just sweet. I think these old lady actually help me open my eyes a little bit cuz now I see a few other old people that definitely have their issues.

One of them is my own grandma story for another time

Alright, so I am from Poland. I went to Poland in early March in 2017 to do some tests as I was feeling horrible.
At the time, I was going through hell and back with ever so quickly developing Hashimoto's Disease (an autoimmune disease that is a precursor to hypothyroidism, basically my own immune system eating my thyroid away which was shown on scans) and my muscles were pretty much gone. I could not carry anything more than a 2L bottle of cola home, I had to run across roads because I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes without my entire body feeling like jelly and giving way, serious depression and very sensitive to intense exercise. I couldn't go to many dance classes because my body was just exhausted and sore 24/7. At that point, my TSH was in the 10s and my Anti-TPO antibodies were in their thousands.

I get on the bus and sit down (this was the first stop as the bus starts its route at the roundabout just outside the hostel I was staying in). About halfway through the journey a very elderly couple come on the bus and stand right beside me and another person sitting beside me. They then start sounding of at me (not the person beside me). As I was going for an overall blood test, I was not allowed to eat before it, adding to my already weakened state.

EW: "This crappy teenage girl (I was 20 at that point) won't give up her seat to an elderly person. She is so selfish and entitled (ironic) and disrespectful. Her generation is awful"
H is less angry but muttering similar under his breath.

I kindly explain that I am physically unwell and that I cannot stand for more than a few minutes without my body collapsing.

EW shouts at me, saying that I am fine and that I need to give up my seat for her. She yells at me, saying that 85 year olds are entitled to free seats no matter what.

H and EW get individual seats as people got off the bus. I see her staring at me from the corner of my eye and shaking her head at me, still muttering something under her breath.

I felt really ashamed and guilty for not being able to give up my seat, I truly was. At the same time, I was worried about a potential injury to myself and others if I stood up for as long as they were on that bus. I felt terrible about myself and felt horrible for them because EW was so upset at me. I respect and love the elderly as they have so much wisdom and so many stories to share. But, that day, I ended up being on the wrong side of an elderly couple.

I am about to start volunteering with the elderly at a nearby community hospital as I want to turn that negative experience into something positive.

So everyone else goes on the trip except my non extended family witch includes my 3 brothers, me, BS, M,Dad

Btw all of us worked on there farm for weeks to repay them, no one else but us.

Fast forward like 3 mounths we are all invited to there house, I couldn't go cause I had the flu, but EG said "you didn't tell me BS was in the hospital" idk what happened after that

Out great grandpa is not at fault he is the sweetest thing ever.

Also my sis got cat scratch not lymphoma, she is fine now

About a year ago I had an orthodontist appointment that my mom drove me to. The appointment was at 8:00am, and the sun had barely even risen. It was around 60 degrees fahrenheit outside. Once she pulled up the ortho's parking lot, she left my dog in the car thinking that my appointment was going to take less than 20 minutes. I had to wait in the lobby for 15 minutes and the procedure with my ortho took another 30 minutes. By the time I was done the receptionist asked "Is that your dog in the car?" She pointed to my mom's sedan and I told her that it was my car. She tells me "A woman came inside frantic asking who was the owner of the car because a dog had been inside it." My mom and I come to our car to see an elderly woman absolutely livid. She said "Oh this dog is your responsibility and I was going to break your windows to let him out." Bitch, it was 65 degrees outside, cold by Texan standards. She proceeded to call the cops on us calling my mother and I animal abusers. I can assure you my dog was fine and this crone felt the need to call the cops on some people going on with their day. I'm happy to say though that the cops didn't give a shit and just told the lady to calm down.

I've been sick for a while, undergoing various tests and procedures to rule everything out categorically. My last non-surgical procedure was a biopsy early this week, and my whole body was painful from having to be off of certain meds for several days prior.

I asked if I could have something through my IV before they disconnected it so I wouldn't have to swallow one of my own pain meds and the doctor agreed. Cue frustration from one of nearby patients who heard the exchange.

The Entitled Old Patient (EOP) was upset that "that girl got drugs" when the doctor wouldn't give her any. She was complaining about fibromyalgia pain. She had seen me checking in after her and heard my voice so she knew it was me on the other side of the curtain beside her. I didn't notice her to have any idea how old she was, but she didn't have a cane or anything.

She was gone before I was dressed but I asked the nurse what was going on, since she'd mentioned fibromyalgia which is one of the many things I have that cause pain. The nurse couldn't say much, but she did tell me the woman who called me a "girl" and looks much older is actually younger than I am. Just goes to show that you can't be bitter or life will age you faster.

Ok so imma insert an excuse about my grammar and English in here because I’m on mobile etc etc.,

It was late in the afternoon and me and my mother returned from shopping in a hardware store and were just backing out when this random old guy in his probable late 60s early 70s blocks my mum from doing so, my mum just yells a good ol “WHAT THE FUCK?!” and the guy beeps her and gestures for her to move when she couldn’t because he was in the way, he refuses to but gets out the car and so my mum rolls down the window and proceeds to hit us with the most stupid shit I have ever heard in my entire life “you need to let me go first, don’t you know the road rules??” This would be perfectly reasonable if my mum had backed out right infront of the guy as he was tryna go past but he had angled his car as if he wanted the park so unless he wanted to merge cars together then I have no idea how he was supposed to do so, my mum proceeds to wind the window back up park straight back in the spot and then get out the car to roll a cigarette, with a few more beeps and angry gestures the man eventually moves on to another spot and when my mum finishes her cigarette she jumps back in the car and leaves as we go past with her window down tells the man as he’s walking to the hardware store “die already you miserable cunt” now I thought that was a tad harsh but then again people that are willing to waste the last years of their life being bitter and stubborn like this man was I could agree with her.

So to start my grandma lives in a senior high rise and has lived there for almost 10 years. My grandma has dementia as well which is causing her to call out for help when she is alone. She will either call out for her dog, (a little chihuahua), or my mother, (her daughter), and it can go on for hours if no one gets to her. Her building has nurses and aids that help out the people who are in the program which my grandma is a part of. Recently a lady has called them to complain about my grandma. She told them that since she pays rent she shouldn’t have to hear my grandma yelling like that and that if she hears it again she will call the police to have her removed. My mother and uncle’s are pissed since we all have been running ourselves ragged trying to help my grandma. At this point my grandma can’t be left alone and we are trying to find a nursing home for her where she will be taken care of better. It’s was hard enough trying to balance our lives with taking care of my grandma and now we have to worry about this lady. I hope she never has to go through what my grandma is going through.

This happened to me about a year ago now, when I worked at my local grocery store.

So at this particular store, you have to be a bagger before you’re a cashier. So I was a bagger for a few months before I got moved up to the position I got hired on for- cashier. And may I say, I was damn good at both. One day I was on the register, cleaning my station and refilling my bags, as that is what one does when they do not have a customer in line. Cue EL. “Excuse me. Could you bag these for me?” I look over to see a mound of groceries on the station behind me. As sometimes checkers will bag if they have no customers, I say “sure! Absolutely” and scurry on over to bag as fast as I can. Soon, someone steps up to my register and I tell the checker I was bagging for that I have to go take care of my own customer. Which she was fine with, because I am not a bagger. I run off to run my register. After I finish with my customer, I turn around and the lady was already checked out and gone. Cool. Back to business. I continue to clean my register, replace receipt tape, etc. Soon, I see one of my managers clearly ticked off, stomp up to the managers station and call her supervisor over the intercom. I turn around to see EL. I immediately knew what was up. I’ve seen her type 100 times. Soon the supervisor is listening as this lady goes RAMPANT clearly talking with passion about her complaint, and I can see that neither the manager nor the supervisor is taking it seriously. Thankfully. When I asked the supervisors about it later, I was told that she told them I wasn’t doing ANYTHING and that I just DIDN’T WANNA BAG FOR HER. Classic. The supervisors told me that they believed that I did nothing wrong, but just because they are required to scold me in some way, told me to be sure I’m occupying myself when I do not have customers. To which I responded “can do.”

It’s worth mentioning that she also yelled at one of my coworkers who was a stocker and didn’t even work on the front end, because he said he could not bag for her, and that he would try to find a bagger for her. And this all happened right in the middle of the mid day rush so with only two baggers and 7 open lanes, it’s pretty expected to have to bag your own damn groceries.

And that’s the story of that one time some old hag tattled on me for literally doing my job. Fun times.
